From Tatame.... (www.tatame.com)

Ricardo Arona was ruling the fight against American fighter Quinton Jackson at Pride GP, in Japan. The Brazilian was annulling his game and almost won the combat, after a kick that cut Jackson's face. "By that time I hit him and a bruise came off... I saw him asking me to stop and he also called the referee..., but it took so long to realize he was dizzy on me... When the fight returned, you know what happened," lamented Arona, referring to the movement used by Jackson when was inside a triangle and elevated Arona over his head and threw him down.

"I didn't feel anything. I lost my sense for few seconds and the referee had already stopped the bout," tells Arona, revealing he was ready to avoid that move. "In fact, he've already studied movements like that, but when he raised me blocking my legs, I realized it was too late. The shock was huge... it was my mistake. I took so long to escape from the position", admits Brazilian Top Team's fighter.

I'm hating his repeated excuse that Rampage was asking to stop the fight and was calling the referee over. The referee asked Rampage if he could keep going.... I HEARD IT! And Rampage looked at him like he was stupid and kinda shook his head no. Deal with it, Arona. You got owned.

I remember when the ref asked Rampage "Do you give up?" after Arona had a really, really weak arm lock from his guard. Rampage had a surprised look on his face and said no. That's the only time I remember Rampage saying anything to the ref during the fight.

I do know that Rampage was talking after he got hit by that upkick. But I don't really know what the **** he was saying. It looked like he was talking to himself. Or maybe he was saying "nice kick" or some ****. But I SERIOUSLY doubt that he was telling Arona to stop and asking the ref to come in and save him. He didn't quit after 36 knees by Silva.

Brazillian fighters just don't like to lose. They're all firey and hot blooded and ****. Arona should have nothing to complain about. Jackson was groggy for at least 10-15 seconds. That's plenty of time for him to flip his prone body over and mount him, or at least do something. Looking at the ref isn't gonna do ****.

Excatly. Your in a fight, you keep throwing until the ref pulls you off.

It seems to me that almost every fight after a loss tries to make some kind of excuse for losing... Why cant they just say it wasnt my night and end it.

I totally believe that humbleness makes you a better fighter. Most fighters who can admit that it just was'nt their night, and can admit defeat.... go back home and get back in the gym and come back giving it their all everytime, time and time again...... those are the real true athletes that will take this sport to the next level. These chicken **** excuses are getting old. Accepting a loss will make you better......... making excuses for them will just hold you back from performing at your full potential.

Your right Dogg if u keep making excuses then u start believing them....Which can lead to not workin as hard because they thing it was someone else fault for the loss.
