View Full Version : UFC 101 Anderson vs. Griffin JoeKickAss 04-28-2009, 03:13 PM Looks like its signed http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news?slug=ki-silvagriffin042809&prov=yhoo&type=lgns Sn1 04-28-2009, 03:16 PM wow i can see griffin getting koed yet again lol hes tough, and got alot of heart but his technical abilities are gonna look like deficiencies against anderson IMO. i rly think anderson is gonna show the form that made him no1 mma fighter in the world still, if he fights cautiously griffin has a chance, and ofc hes a genuine lhw banger Sn1 04-28-2009, 03:25 PM Anderson Silva vs Fedor Emelianenko if this ever happens i wont watch the ufc ever again maybe we could have a big euro boxing event. Felix Sturm vs Wladimir Klitschko F l i c k e r 04-28-2009, 03:45 PM Silva-Griffin? Oh man, wow. Its going to be odd, watching a fight like that. Last time I seen Silva at 205, he walked right through Irvin. Not to say, Griffin is Irvin but man. I see Griffin racking up another loss. Silva's power at 205 is more than what he had at 185. Griffin did say he hated Silva though. Maybe Silva will fight him seriously and not toy around. StillUnknown 04-28-2009, 04:25 PM Silva-Griffin? Oh man, wow. Silva's power at 205 is more than what he had at 185. Griffin did say he hated Silva though. Maybe Silva will fight him seriously and not toy around. he wasn't serious when he said that Griffin's only advantage in this fight is his size. he'll have a reach advantage and is as big a LHW as there is. he would be wise to get it to the ground, striking with Anderson will be hazardous to his health. Griffin has never really displayed KO power, and his chin can be cracked. right now i'm going Anderson by early 3rd round TKO LA BAD BOY 04-28-2009, 04:28 PM Silva is boring. I hope that Griffin subs him! He is better then Silva on the ground! F l i c k e r 04-28-2009, 04:30 PM he wasn't serious when he said that Dont trip. I know that, Griffin was even laughing when he said it. Silva is boring. I hope that Griffin subs him! He is better then Silva on the ground! Silva is in no way "boring". I dont think Forrest is better than Silva on the ground. BJJ black belt from the Nogs. Submitted Lutter, and submitted an olympic wrestler. I dont think Forrest will even win on the ground. JoeKickAss 04-28-2009, 04:32 PM Silva is boring. I hope that Griffin subs him! He is better then Silva on the ground! I'm sorry, but you're retarded. Move BRICKS™ 04-28-2009, 04:44 PM Silva is boring. I hope that Griffin subs him! He is better then Silva on the ground! Hahahahhaahahaaha ABOSWORTH 04-28-2009, 04:54 PM Silva is boring. I hope that Griffin subs him! He is better then Silva on the ground! How many fights have you seen? 2? The guy has two boring fights and he's labeled as boring?:jerk: LA BAD BOY 04-28-2009, 05:05 PM Silva almost lost to LUTTER on the ground. He was mounted and looks like he was ready to go. Forrest sub Rua on the ground. Forrest has great sub skills. Silva s black belt dont mean **** cuz he got sub by Ryo Chonan and he is welterweight and Takase and he looks like lightweight! Forrest will kill him on the ground. LA BAD BOY 04-28-2009, 05:09 PM Dont trip. I know that, Griffin was even laughing when he said it. Silva is in no way "boring". I dont think Forrest is better than Silva on the ground. BJJ black belt from the Nogs. Submitted Lutter, and submitted an olympic wrestler. I dont think Forrest will even win on the ground. and he got submitted by Ryo Chonan and Daiju Takase. JoeKickAss 04-28-2009, 05:12 PM Griffin sub'ed a gassed Shogun. I'd like to see him do it now. LA BAD BOY 04-28-2009, 05:15 PM Griffin sub'ed a gassed Shogun. I'd like to see him do it now. and SILVA sub ed gassed LUTTER. Griffin is one biggest LHW out there, but who knows. Maybe Griffin is made for Silva just like Franklin is! JabSandwich 04-28-2009, 08:52 PM i don't really care who wins, its gonna be a good fight F l i c k e r 04-29-2009, 12:11 AM and SILVA sub ed gassed LUTTER. Griffin is one biggest LHW out there, but who knows. Maybe Griffin is made for Silva just like Franklin is! I would say you fail buuuuuuuuuuuuuut you did bring up Ryo Chonan. And I cant argue that. Dorian 04-29-2009, 12:17 AM Atleast he will have to fight with Forrest, who will push Silva around if he doesnt. Silva KO! fathergll 04-29-2009, 01:03 PM Anderson Silva vs Fedor Emelianenko if this ever happens i wont watch the ufc ever again maybe we could have a big euro boxing event. Felix Sturm vs Wladimir Klitschko Why do some freak out on Fedor vs A Silva as if its the biggest joke match up ever? There is not a large size difference between the two. Its a very legit matchup. Fedor is 6'0" 230 lbs A Silva is 6'2" around 215lbs at HW. Fedor is he obvious favorite but hes the favorite against anyone on the planet. At least Silva would offer something different than most fighters Fedor has face(high level striking)....CroCop Arlovski had some success and I truely believe speed is a much bigger assest against Fedor than size. I give A Silva a better chance of winning than Barnett. Barnett offers nothing against Fedor....at least Silva is a great striker. BTW Griffin wont get out the of second with Silva. If Jardine and Evans KO him then Silva will have no problem fathergll 04-29-2009, 01:05 PM and SILVA sub ed gassed LUTTER. Griffin is one biggest LHW out there, but who knows. Maybe Griffin is made for Silva just like Franklin is! and he subbed Henderson How many times has Henderson been subbed? How well did Jackson(205 Champ) do against Henderson in the previous match? Silva did a lot better i think. the traveler 04-29-2009, 02:57 PM and he got submitted by Ryo Chonan and Daiju Takase. That was when he was with Chute Boxe and before he started training with Big Nog, whom he got his black belt from. That was also several years ago. Savino 04-29-2009, 04:46 PM This is the fight that Anderson needs. he will be fully motivated and up for fighting Forrest. Forrest is a great fighter and very big name so this should be the motivation that Anderson has needed over last few months. fully expect to see Anderson back to his old self in this fight. Jawz 04-29-2009, 05:16 PM Unfortunately I see Silva winning this one, but Forrest will be coming in with a great gameplan from xtreme couture so you never know. Silva needs this fight to bring the fire back, cant wait. Jawz 04-29-2009, 05:17 PM This is the fight that Anderson needs. he will be fully motivated and up for fighting Forrest. Forrest is a great fighter and very big name so this should be the motivation that Anderson has needed over last few months. fully expect to see Anderson back to his old self in this fight. Hey mate you train at wolfslair?? Sn1 04-29-2009, 05:18 PM wonder how many fights that excuse is gonna be made for lol MJ406 04-29-2009, 09:30 PM ^ about Silva under performing? i dunno it's worked for his last 2 bouts. hopefully vs Forrest can be more exciting. Move BRICKS™ 04-30-2009, 01:23 AM I think that Forrest will be a punching bag for Anderson. Too straight forward. pugilistfan 04-30-2009, 02:01 AM Dont trip. Silva is overrated on the ground. And yeah, BJJ black belt from the Nogs. Two very close friends of his. He got controlled by Henderson in the 1st round, than subbed Hendo in the 2nd after landing strikes on his feet. Hendo was barely in enough shape to defend himself on the ground from those strikes. Lutter pretty much did everything to Silva in that 1st round, he took him down, he passed his guard, he mounted him. Unfortunately, Lutter is only a 1rd fighter, got guessed, got locked into a decent triangle and than tapped due to strikes. Is Silva great on the ground? No, is he solid? Yes. This is Griffins best chance to win, use his size, get him to the ground which isnt hard against Silva and control him. Griffin isnt a bad striker by any means, he outstruck Evans, im not saying Evans is a great striker but the matter in which Griffin outstruck him impressed me. He showed good timing and distance in that fight. Unfortunately, Griffin is too slow, too stiff, has no head movement to be a problem for Silva on his feet. One thing is, Griffin will bring the fight to Silva. Undefeated 04-30-2009, 02:25 AM Man are you serious? I like Griffin, but I don't see his lasting more than 2 mins without getting caught with a flying knee. Still Pimpin 04-30-2009, 04:46 AM Silva almost lost to LUTTER on the ground. It's obvious your a Fedor groupie and your worried about The Spider taking his throne. As I recall Kevin Randleman slammed Fedor all ovr the place before Fedor subbed him....Does that take anything away from Fedor...? NO. The fact is that the Lutter fight was very exciting simply because Silva seemed to be in trouble and when is the last time you saw anybody do anything like a Flying Heel Hook in MMA period (Ryo)? What about the standing elbow ? / What about the Irvin Leg catch One punch K.O ? Crushing Leben like a Sniper ? ? The Rich Franklin Nose surgery or the gifts to the ribs ? lol !!! Face it your a ****in clown !!!....... He subbed Hendo for christ sakes wtf are you smoking ? Do yourself a favor and type Anderson Silva into youtube before you express you bias groupie style ignorance !!! Still Pimpin 04-30-2009, 04:59 AM Silva is overrated on the ground. One thing is, Griffin will bring the fight to Silva. Griffin outstruck Evans wtf are talking about ? Griffin got K.Oed in the first round because of his striking...lol !!! All Griffin has to his advantage is heart size and legs kicks. Let's be real Rampage ain't the smartest fighter in the world Griffin ran like a ***** the whole fight with ***** ass shin kicks. Evans /Silva are smart fighters that are equally as tough as Forest but way more skilled, Both Silva and Evans are more intelligent fighters than Griffin but Griffin is still real competitor. .......
