It will be official appx this time tomorrow. I will be the mother of a high school graduate. Taking a big box of tissues and a cushion to sit on. Our daughter is #619 out of 626 graduates. She finished 86th in her class and we are extremely proud of her. It's been a very trying year in many ways to what should have been her best year of high school. She managed to overcome most of her difficulties and is going to finish off the rest this summer starting with the shoulder surgery to repair the tear. Then she can get back in the water again!! YAY!!!

BTW, I'm too young to be this old. ;)

You know what? It does not matter that you didn't go to college unless it matters to you. We all have our talents and some of us aren't meant for it. I was one who didn't go. What matters is that you do what you want and you are happy and you CAN KICK SOME ASS!! Daughter #1 has to work hard for her grades, Daughter #2 is naturally smart and CAN KICK ASS, and son....well, we're still waiting to see what his future holds.....as a mom, I will support him in whatever he wants to do, as long as he graduates from high school first.....

Bzob, I think you are the greatest. You are awesome just the way you are.:-)

I didn't even go to graduation. My mom got a call from the school and she went to pick it up. That's what you get for having it in fall. Dumbasses I live three ahours away already plus I had to play a rugby game that day.

I dropped out and got a G.E.D

**** if I was going to go thru 4 years of high school just to go to college when I could get a G.E.D and have a BETTER chance of getting accepted to the program I want because they have to accept a set amount of G.E.D grads each year.

The only difference between a OSSD and a GED is that most universities will not accept a G.E.D but all colleges do. So looked at it and said **** it. Left when I was 17, took the GED test at 18 and had a highschool deploma a year earlier than 90% of my friends.

I left when I was 17 too. I'm 19 and entering my third year of college. High-schoool was a waste. I forgot must of it already and it didn't help me choose a job that I want to do for the rest of my life at all.
