Lol truth, that's bold calling a joe budden cd a classic album.. It's a stepping stone for Budden yes, and a step in the right direction for him.. But a classic album.. I don't know..

I would call The X album borderline, It was written definite classic, The realness, not classic, but an essential album to hear if you like hip hop.

I wouldnt call Electric Circus a classic, but I think it gets unfairly ****ted on.

I would call both Gnarls Barkley albums undeniable classics, maybe a little off topic subject wise, there's no rapping on the second album.

Truth's got jokes.

why? I'm not allowed to have my own classics. I'm not critizising your choices. I love that album, Joe Budden is a great lyricist. Lyrics...lyrics....lyrics.......joe budden is so good lyrically, even with average beats, hes still made a great album. It takes a great lyricist with a great flow to do that.

some of these cd's are considered classics.....it was written, the realness, blackstar, and probably even black on both sides...

anyways, for me i would go with...

Nastradamus
hell rell - for the hell of it
jay-z american gangster
busta rhymes - when disaster strikes, ELE
Camron-Killa season, possibly purple haze...the popular consensus on that has it right between 4.5/5 and 5/5, so its already a borderline classic
puff daddy-no way out
50 cent-the massacre
2pac-2pacalypse now
Every DMX cd that was released after flesh of my flesh...and maybe and then there was X, thats also considered a borderline classic

NIA is one of those albums where it's so all over the place, you could listen to it ten times in a row and it still sounds new and unfamiliar. I love that album.

That is controversal, his only album that can be even considered to be classic imo is Come Home With Me, Purple Haze has about 4 skip tracks, and my problem with Killa Season is:

1. The talking at the beggining of He Tried To Play Me
2. Having War on there when it was already on More Than Music
3. Switching out the original Something New for the remix with Hell Rell.

Other than that, It's a very enjoyable album.

cage - hells winter
royce da 5'9 - death is certain
immortal technique - revolutionary vol. 2
chino xl - here to save you all
canibus - rip the jacker

Upon numerous listens, that is a classic.

I have a few...

Blackalicious - Nia
PUTS - O.S.T.
AZ - A.W.O.L.
All Natural - Second Nature
Binary Star - Masters of the Universe
Bahamadia - BB Queen (EP)

Are you kidding me? Not trying to undermine your musical knowledge so to speak, but that is top 20 for me, undisputed classic....

I've already voiced my opinion on A.W.O.L. though lol.

My Picks:

Murs - 3:16 (The 9th Edition)
Cam'Ron - Come Home With Me
Goodie Mob - Soul Food
Sean Price - Jesus Price Supastar
The Game - L.A.X.
Mr. Lif - The Collosus EP
Shawn Jackson - First Of All

There are people who straight up don't know about "Masters.....". I loaned the album to a friend quite awhile back and his response was "pretty good". Now he is a pretty casual listener but even so....

I consider it a classic no doubt, it's regarded as such by several others, but not everyone shares that same opinion. I think it's a regional thing to some degree as well.
