I would like to say thank you to all the veterans that have served in this countrys armed services.
Its a national shame to see how you are treated sometimes.
Very true Slacker.
I went to Washington DC, for the memorial of the WWII vets, Saturday and it was nice. My grandmother's brother died in WWII. My girlfriend's grandfather was a vet so that's why I went and he liked it a lot. Good times. Some people spoke then Tom Hanks spoke, and then Bush the moron spoke for a little. The memorial that they built for them is very nice. Had a good time too. Anyway, god bless everyone and thanks to all that served.

I, too, would like to thank all the veterans that have served and to those still serving today.
You have no idea how badly they get treated. In 1985, my brother in law was not treated adeptly while in a VA hospital and we lost him to their neglect. He was only 27. He shouldn't have died. My inlaws sued and not only did they win, the government admitted fault. That is one for the record books.

My Grandpa was in WWII and he dont do nothing for Memorial day, he hates talking about the war. He hates anything that has to do with the war. I was watching a show on TLC once and he went off. "THIS IS ALL BULL****, BULL****." and slowly stormed out of the room........

My grandfather is pushing up daisies.
My grandmother's brother died in WWII. He wasn't even buried in the US, he was buried in France. My grandmother just died this Jan. 31, and my mom now has possession of the letters he sent my grandmother while he was over seas.
