Fight Night Round 4: New Boxers Revealed

April 24, 2009 - Fight Night Round 4 bills itself as having the largest stable of quality boxers ever seen in a videogame. Now we have even more proof of that claim with our reveal of nine more boxers to go along with the five heavy hitters we revealed last month. Below you'll find the names, a quick statistical breakdown of each boxer, as well as screens of the bruisers in the ring. .....

Campbells in the game though, not sure if he should be in their above other guys that didn't make the cut.

I have a feeling the graphics and character models are going to be horrible from the footage and pictures, theres only a few months left to tweak the game. If they really look like that and the gameplay doesn't make up for it I'm not buying it.

Infact, the UFC game is looking like a more likely purchase to be honest.

That sucks, I like him. I'm guessing the fight night creators have something against fighters like Calzaghe and Williams who throw over 1,000 punches. I'm sure Paul Williams isn't in this game either. He can't be for the fact they made everyone fat in this game!

real happy with the addition of Nate Campbell and of course Cotto. Mundine in it as well (thats him getting hit by Hatton in the last pic) as an Aussie thats pretty cool.

he is a good boxer and has been a great gate keeper over the years i will aso say that he has been robed a fair few times like in the last fight against Figueroa. i think its good that hes in the game and his dancing during fights is great to watch

not even a mayweather fan like that but he has to be in the game.. as well as guys like paul williams.. i know shan is in it.. and oscar but they havent showed.. u cant say top 40 boxers of all time.. n have guys like spinks n cintron like no disrespect to them but come on now..

I've met Vivan a few times in person...real niced dude, he'll be an....interesting character to play with however

bye bye then cuz thats def him in the pic against Hatton (same hair and tattoos). i feel you though, im only hyped cuz he is Aussie but clearly he should not be in the game... he has never beat anyone and continually fights bums. couple that with the additions of the likes of Harris and Cintron and the roster is looking hella poor.

Guys, Mayweather is not in the game. NoFear posted last week that he read that the producers said Mayweather wanted so much money they would have had to trim the roster down to 30 if they wanted to include him.

Also Fight Night never claimed to have the top 40 of all time, they claimed to have the largest roster of all the Fight Nights.

The producer also addressed the fat character models saying that they are aware and have designed the game so that they can adjust and tweek character models very easily even this late into production.

I decided a while ago that i'll probably buy the ufc game also. I'm not a big fan of mma but playing it online should be pretty fun. I owned ufc and pridefc games in the past and while the were good, the replay value wore off after a while. As far as Fight Night, since it was announced last year it's never been a question of will I buy it or not, it's when is this coming out cuz i'm getting it.

Sorry, he's not they confirmed that De La Hoya, Holyfield, Marciano, Dempsey and Mayweather couldn't get put in the game over unrealistic demands/money etc.

Cotto looks horrible. HORRIBLE!!!! But solid roster though. I believe that putting people like Cintron is a good idea because whenever you want to try a boxer you havent used, just use Cintron and you will learn all of the boxer's moves and win easily.

i know it doesn't make sense, it is in a sense good publicity and does your name the world of good, why would you do anything to prevent it?

anyway i think having some good B-level fighters is important in a game, think about it the margins between great fighters like morales and barerra, hopkins and taylor or ali and frazier are so fine, its good to have someone like mundine, campbell, malginaggi, chambers etc. they show us the difference between great fighters and good ones.

not only that but having B level fighters makes the game more competitive if you have a really good player and an average one playing against each other. its alright though when current B-level fighters who are still active are in the game (campbell, chambers, mundine etc) but when B level fighters of yesterday are in the game (morison, mora) then it ruins the game.

I absolutely cant wait for this game to come out, ive played FNR3 for so long... this with UFC undisputed will be my entire xbox game library lol.
