So, what's everyones first impressions of the game? I was actually pleasently suprised with it, a lot better then i expected it to be. Graphics are great and so is the overall game play. Only real draw back is it seems to a button masher.

Also one punch knockouts!:boxing:

Thats my favouritre plart also..

I was playing with shogun and chuck was all over me
Managed to land a leg kick it went into slow mo and he fell on the floor.I tried to kick
him while he was down and he kicks me in the face im dizzy he comes at me throwing that big over hand right that connects im cut ready to go i can feel it then i press L1 with the Square button throws a Kick to the face it connects and out goes liddell like a light!

Wicked game cant wait..
Wish there was more players on the demo still...

Love the overhand right from Chuck!
Press R3 to try and get a submission if your on top, move the right stick to the left or right and hold it their if your back is against the floor to try and get the ref to stand you up. If they break out of your hold press R3 just as they begin to strike you on the ground to try and get a submission. When your in a submission hold rotate the right stick or tap any of the face buttons, if the opponent has you in a hold either use the face buttons on rotate the right stick

If they have you in a clinch on the ground when your on top press R3 in any direction to try and break out.

I like the demo, but it seems far to easy to win. I win within the first 2 minutes whenever I want and I dont even have to take it to the ground at all, Infact i've only had to defend from an attempted takedown once.

Can you change the difficulty?

I hope people don't button mash, I've taken ages learns the combos for when I have the game

Put it on expert and play against Chuck. You will get KTFO quick.

Put it on expert and play against Shogun. You will get KTFO/Submitted quicker.

This game is incredible. After 5 minutes of me and chuck going toe to toe battering each other to a pulp. We start the second round, i stupidly run straight at him, and out of nowhere im knocked out with a spinning back fist.

Good but I will be wanting fightnight 4 to be out soon. The ufc is better than and more realistic I expexted but they have just made all the controls complicated and will take ages to lean. I mean the game is sod easy on the first seeting but when you up the difficulty you just need to know all the crontrols and there is a hell of a lot of them. For me fight night will be better becuse the controls are good.

the graphics of this game are really nice and it is pretty deep with all the various moves, styles, techniques, etc. but it for the same reason I didn't like the older UFC games I really cant get into this game - the fights don't last very long. KO a guy with one good shot, game over. blah. I played like 30 fights and never went the distance. The KO's are kind of repetitive too, and lots of them are weak ass KO's like you'll just barely glance a guys chin or something and he's dead. Don't get me wrong, often the KO's look pleasing, just overrall I'm not terribly impressed

It's because you have it on the easy setting because its a demo. There is 4 difficultys in the options and you will lose in the 1st round every time on the hardest setting if you just keep trowing punches and not play tactical to make it go the distance.

Not boasting but i picked up the moves pretty easy after practising them and can get out of submissions apply submissions mount them lol all that ****...

Also gone to the advanced settings which is a lot more realistic

I love the fact you can be winning and just get sparked out with one punch thats the beauty of it...I also think the controls are spot on.

I kept getting magically knocked out until recently....I just outbox him now....I like to throw a lot of combinations on him.....the 1-2, 3 low, 3 high, 2 then a left roundkick to the body, right roundkick to the head Chuck Noriss style.....I like to just leave him pummeled on the ground......I hope Fight Night is as good as this....or better at least

How do I slip and counter punches???

This is way better than I thought it was going to be. Playing on the hardest setting is a challenge, especially since I've only used Shogun (I hate Liddell). Everyone I've talked to said that it's way easier to get a KO using Chuck than it is using Shogun. I like the challenge that Expert brings... You definitely have to be patient and fight a tactical fight. I was skeptical as to whether or not that would be the case because the game could easily have catered to the OMG LIDDELL RULES crowd that just wants to go balls to the wall over and over again.

I just wish that the blocking system was a bit more dynamic than just holding the hands up, and that there was better collision detection. I've had times where a spinning back fist missed me by about a foot (I stepped away from it) but I magically got KO'd, and times where strikes should have hit but for no reason, didn't register.

On the easy mode, I always win by first round KO, on the experienced mode, I always get submitted in the first round.

I need to learn how to get the advantage on the ground.

It seems like a good game, although a bit repetitive perhaps. It might be different with more players to use.

The Gully Gad

Yeh if you take a gander at the moves clegg and try and learn them a little it gets easier bruv..

I was always getting submitted when using chuck on advanced mode but after taking time out to learn the moves im smashing it..

When he mounts you (Sounds good) Just move the right stick in certain ways and it kicks him off using that and pressing triangle or square will put a move on him also..

The game is fun as hell. I'm getting better and better, but I have no idea how to submit people. I can actually hold my own when not getting submitted though. I normally just box em and you can prevent going on the ground by countering and course flicking the stick upwards so you get up right away.

I just wish you could control your upperbody movement.

It's pretty fun, but it's something I'll probably not play as much because of the lack of realism. The game is to fast paced, which isn't exactly a bad thing, it just makes it feel arcadey, which also isn't a bad thing. But I enjoy games that make you have to master it to actually be good at it, like FNR3, although that wasn't exactly that great of a sim either. Hopefully we'll see how FNR4 shapes up to be, hopefully better. Other than that, they make Chuck way to good. I really don't see much advantages on the ground game really, my friend plays as Chuck all the time and still makes me tap. Shouldn't Rua have the advantage on the ground? Defenitely doesn't feel like it. The only advantage thats visable are the fighters striking abilitys, so far atleast. See as Chuck has 2 strong punches, 2 strong kicks, and the overhand right that nearly always lands and can KO them easily, and Rua only has strong kicks.

Ye I downloaded this demo too and it's amazing. I'm so into this game that I keep winning and trying to beat my KO record of 12 seconds. This is going to be an amazing game. Excellent graphics, amazing gameplay. Everything looks and feels very realistic. I can't get bored of this game and it's only the demo. I can't imagine how good the full game will be. Liddell's overhand right is one of the best punches and Rua's running knee is also an amazing part of their moves. But the leg kicks to the head are the best part. I like the fact that they put two player in the demo. If only you can pick more fighters.

I'm trying to slowly master the ground game in it so when the full game comes out it will be easier and I'll know how to play already. Overall, this is an excellent game and in my honest prediction, I think it will be better than FNR4. Not saying fight night won't be good but I just have a feeling that I'm going to enjoy UFC Undisputed more since it's the first on the PS3 and since it looks like they've inputed the MMA styles extremely well...can't wait for online and career modes.

I dislike the ground work, which I am pretty useless at.

I do however love the striking in this game.

What I do is select Shogun, because that way you are guaranteed to be on your feet for virtually the whole fight. Even if you get knocked down, Liddell will normally just stand over you and kick. I play on hard mode.

By doing it this way, I lose about 80% of the time, but it's still great to play. On FNR3, the AI uses cheap moves like the parrying. On this game, you lose because your opponent has better timing or variety of strikes.

If you get wild with kicks, your opponent takes a step back out of range, then jumps in with a big punch. The AI on FNR3 did not use range in an intelligent way IMO, so this is impressive. My current strategy is to try to work in close, using short hooks to the face, and keeping a high guard, as the body shots hurt less from what I can tell. I try to push Liddell back against the cage, and then unleash the power shots, because from this position he's unable to get out of the way in time or counter me effectively.

I still lose most of the time, but every fight is great fun.

One thing I would like is for there to be punch stats. I went the distance once and lost 30-27 on all cards, even though I felt that I'd easily won the 2nd round, but there didn't seem to be a way to make sure.

Can't wait until this is released, might pre-order it now.

Yeah I always play with shogun because I prefer the stand up, but iv been trying out the ground work with submissions, takes some getting used to but still pretty fun..

I agree it would of been nice to see some statistics on what punches and kicks you landed etc... i was expecting that they would put that in the game but i guess not.. also in the last round it seems it's very likely to score a KO.. which kind of sucks because if playing career it would be good to be able to go the distance in an all out war aswell.

Same here. even though I'm pulling for UFC Undisputed, I'm still going to be buying both.

What I enjoy about the Undisputed demo is the leg kicks. I played 11 straight matches and I picked Rua and I was fighting Liddell. Liddell got 5 straight KO's but I adjusted to his moves and understood it well enough to win 6 straight over him. What's good is when you trap him with his back to the octagon and you unleash punches and kicks. But I must say, it's the kicks that won me all those fights and that's Rua's advantage. I only KO'd him once with a punch and that was early in one of the fights with a huge right hand that came from nowhere. If you want to become better in that game, you should pick Rua all the time and put the difficulty to either advanced or expert like I'm doing because Liddell has the slight advantage in the stand up. You'll improve more so when the time comes to play the full game, you'll already be better than most beginners.

I just played on the hardest difficulty. I dominated the fight, knocked him down, had a lot more health than him at the end, and yet it was still scored 30-27 on all 3 cards.

Has anyone won a decision yet? It's pretty annoying:(
