why not try Yorky's Gym (http://www.gymsinlondon.com/index.php/south-london/clapham) in Battersea .... they have a decent weights area

I used to train in this guys gym in Thornton Heath, before he moved the gym to Herne Hill. It's run by the McKenzie family. Well recommended.
