Okay, I'm talking the 2000s here. I can't claim to have seen everything - I've still never seen Chris Byrd - but what fights have really generated excitement in the post-millennial age?

Hyped bouts like Lewis vs. Tyson and Hopkins vs. De La Hoya were perhaps anti-climatic in realisation, but here's two off the top of my head:

Lewis vs. Klitschko

RJJ vs. Tarver II

pac marquez was good and i loved the mesi jirov fight though it had a few slow rounds. Those fights would probably be better catagorized as best almost comebacks though. I cant say i've been that attentive to boxing since 2000 though.

Gatti/Ward was a great fight, so was Ward/Augustus and Toney/Jirov.
