I'm looking for a good gaming computer better then my current rig, but not for alot of money.

Current rig:

Amd Athlon 3500 2.2ghz 2 gigs of ram
Nvidia 8800gts 320mb card

I looked all over and I think these guys are the cheapest and offer the most value for your money. I'm not looking to spend much. If I can get a gaming computer between 700-800 bucks thats better then my current rig then thats cool. And no, I'm not looking to update my computer because I rather have experts build my pc.

I would suggest buying from newegg or tiger direct. Also the system you are mentioning is not much of a gaming computer by today's standart. Plus i wouldn't buy amd processors, they heat up a lot and intel passed them a long time ago in terms of performance.

Newegg has prebuilt systems, most of the time it's good stuff for the most part but they put a cheap vid card in there, so i would suggest buying another one.

This would be a good one:

Decent vid card, quad core, 4 gigs of ram, all that around 800$.

But personally i would build one myself since you get to choose everything you want. Here is what i came up with, that is considering you already have an operating system, monitor and keyboard.

Tell me what you think.

Your video card is still pretty good.

Is there anything you want to play that you cant really play now on high settings?

CPU is probably holding you back some there but most games are more dependent on the Video card and youve got a good one. Certain games are more dependent on having a good CPU than others, I know GTA 4 on PC is like that (though they did a lousy port as well)

If youre buying parts, I would recommend this HD:

100 bucks shipped for 1 terabyte and theyre fast as ****, no need to spend more for those low capacity raptor drives or whatever. The newer TB drives are fast enough.

first one isnt bad, has ddr2 memory which is good or bad depending on how you look at it. DDR 3 is the future but its more expensive now. If I got that system Id buy some DDR 2 while its dirt cheap cause pretty soon its gonna start getting expensive when they switch over and ddr3 is common place.

oh and the shopping cart, we cant see it, the link wont work like that. Sucks
