russell simmons is encouraging the hip hop nation to vote more. that's right, russell simmons is encouraging the hip hop nation to vote more.

it's right here (http://launch.yahoo.com/read/news.asp?contentID=218264)

now let's be frank. the hip hop nation is one of the most ignorant nations out there. the only dumber nation is the heavy metal nation but AT LEAST the metalers are smart enough not to give a **** about politics. smart enough not to **** up the system with their useless ****ball, brainwashed votes.

but here's the danger of the hip hop nation:
they THINK they're smart. why? because their music indoctrines them into thinking that they are cooler than the next guy. that's the whole BASIS of rap music. that's why these ****in rappers are always trying to do lame causes. after years and years of babbling endlessly about how cool THEY are, they have to find something else to babble about. in come the political stances.

fortunately, your's truely is once again able to decifer the ancient language of bull****. i have some pissed off clients right now that i must attend to. i'll fix them and then rev up the ol' translation gizmo...

ok, sorry that the bull****-o-meter was laggin. i think it's just been a lil overused lately. so now that's fired up, let's go ahead and throw in our first entry:

"The hip-hop generation must educate itself and head to the polls in this fall's election"
translated to:

Unlike my old ass-kicking partner, rick rubin, i have decided NOT to focus primarly on making good music but rather in making myself richer by shuffling money around and brainwashing my artist's fans into thinking that they're smart so that they can vote for the candidates that will assure the maximum benefit of my own personnal interests and, therefore allow me to continue to shuffle more money around for higher profits, through easier channels, involving greater loopholes that are more easily overlooked as i crusade as a father-figure hero throughout urban communities whose only good are the purchasing traits that i've come so accustome to appreciating.

wow. that machine's workin good.

"the young must make a difference in their communities and the world."
translated to:

because the old are startin to wise up to our ****ing gimmicks. we need a new breed of dip****s.

"Those of us who work in the hip-hop industry know this is the best generation in the world,"
translated to:

and speaking of new breed of dip****s, did i mention that i capitalize over the greatest herd of gullable cattle since the david duke cult following? trust me my fellow investors, follow the likes of sprite and mc donalds!! this breed of idiocy even inspire eachother by wearing BAND AIDS on their cheeks as some respect gesture towards "homies" in jail that don't even know em! tell me you don't see the POTENTIAL in these ****in clowns!!

"the power of hip hop comes from its ability to unite people of different races and religions"
translated to:

so how'd we do it? it's easy! people=****. once you realize this then all you gotta do is find a common trait to capitalize. all ignorants glorify what they can't have. give em consistent affirmations or re-enactments involving the tony montana, rags-to-riches lifestyle THEN remind them of how racist everyone and everyting else is by convincing them that they're miserable lives are do to.....to......a figure that we just call "The Man".

now you've got a bonified golden ****in calf, my friends! lesson 2 involves monopolizing the golden calf industry through wise money shuffling bull****-filled maneuvers.

"It's very important that we flex these muscles in November,"
translated to:

dmx has big muscles. so does tupac, jarule, and 50 cent. want muscles, money, and women? vote for our bull**** then!

The Hip-Hop Team Vote effort holds voter registration drives at summit cities. It recently registered 50,000 voters in Los Angeles and 80,000 in Philadelphia. Midway through Saturday's event, the group said it had signed up at least 70,000 Michigan voters — including 40,000 in Detroit.
translated:

add that up and you get 240,000. simply input the "95% of hip hop fans are dip****s" ratio and you are left with a good 228,000 mindless votes to offset 228,000 well-thoughtout votes. fortunately 99.9% of the population is too politically correct, freedom loving, and elitist delusional that they'll never catch on the fact that the very theories they try so hard to protect are actually plugging them in their anal cavaties

i dont agree with your first post. you're generalizing all of the "hip hop community", sure..... but you're doin what every other ******* does.... stereo typing. of course you got your views, which are not sceptic, but rather typical. thats like all those *******s who brought you into a stereo type when you had the "look" or hung out with people that had the "look". i dont believe in that **** and never will. i believe everyone is different. just because of what music they listen to has nothing to do with ****. i listen to brotha lynch hung talkin about eating babies and people... do i believe in it? NO. you listen to some ****ed up devil worshipers sometimes... does it mean that you're one? NO.

whatever about the "mindless votes", we get that with or without the hip hop community. you get guys like you that just vote for arnold swartzeneger just because of who he is. in all reality, you're the dip**** just as much as the next guy.

i'm not here to argue, and prolly wont check this thread again, so just deal with the facts, and while you're thinking of something to shoot back and argue me on.... just take a deep breath, re-read again, and realize that you're being a little hypocritical and that you CAN be wrong. its ok to be wrong, i know i am all the time. its learning that makes us better people.

naw but seriously dogg, we all know my degree of sarcasm on here, most of us know it personnally so you shouldn't take every bit and piece in the absolute literal sense.

what i'm saying is that the whole point wasn't just to bash the hip hop community (although i do think that the hip hop community is a joke for the most part) BUT the main point was to bash the "useless votes" theory that i teach. i already spelled that out by bashing metalers too so YOU may be the one who should be re-reading.

i really think that the more extreme and NEW the music, the more ignorant the fans, simply because the higher majority of YOUTH that are following this music. therefore, keep em outt've politics until they've had a chance to experience the real world and not just come into the polls with a diploma and a couple years of college toga parties.

the youth, for the most part, are dumber than older folk (not more stupid, just dumber; there IS a difference). in other words, your typical phil collins fan is going to be a lil more on top of it than the ludacris fan. and you, of all people, should have grasped my point from the start ****er.

the arnold vote was simply because:
1) i love mocking the voting system
2) my vote, or lack of one, wouldn't have even mattered
3) i love T2
and your failure to once again grasp my sarcasm of that issue kinda makes me wonder. especially since you've known me and my ****ed attitude for the last 10 years.

and i'm pretty sure that our political yammering threads aren't worthy of your presence but, as mentioned in other arguements, have the decency to not label your opinions as facts. they're not. that doesn't mean they're wrong. it just means what it meant.
