And I am not talking about bliping out the word **** on t.v or the word ****** on the forum.

I am talking about censoring what t.v shows we can watch, or what movies get released. Fahrenheit 911 is the latest example, but by no means the only one. Now this isn't a question about weather you agree with the material being released, but if you think its right to censor things like Fahrenheit 911? Do we need to protect the public from books and movies and video games? Should the goverment protect kids from violent videos and video games, or is it the parents job?

parents job. censorship is just an excuse for ****ty parents to be even more neglectful and then have a scapegoat to fall back on once the kids end up being more ****ed up.

Yeah, I don't think there is going to be too much debate on censorship in here. As MMA fans, we all know how that goes

It's the parents job BUT I don't like flipping through the channels while I'm eating and seeing a fear factor commercial where they're eating worms and ****. I think the networks should be responsible for what time they air things. Putting a commercial for "allien slut hooker killers III" on during rugrats is lame but as far as just saying no to a tv show that's up to the parents.

I agree. It's the parents' job. I censor what my kids have watched over the years and have let up on that depending on how they can handle things. It does help to have the ratings, or an accurate description of what the show contains. That is the hard part because there are shows rated PG/PG-13, that in my opinion should have been rated R. There does need to be a better rating system.

I was always allowed to watch anything I wanted. I think I saw the exorcist and dawn of the dead when I was like 8 and I turned just fine. Now, I'll just go back to sodomizing my cats....

The one thing that pissed me off was when I was watching CNN talking about micheal moore's new movie. The anchorwoman discribe it as "the new movie that bashes bush" and how it won't be released under Disney. I but the person that wrote that hasn't even seen the film or did his research. The truth is censorship sucks and in todays world of easy information sharing, our main goals should be hearing evenbodies views. Even if somebody doesn't agree with it. Man kind finally gets to a point were everybody can be heard through things like the internet and some people are still closed minded. It's sad.

Hell my mom let me watch pulp fiction when I was 13 and I thank her for it. It got me on the right track for know what good movies are. I see the **** movies that is marketed to 13 year old now and if I ever hear my kid say that one of those peice of ****s movies is their favorite, were going to have a long weekend of watching classic movies and I don't care what their ratings are.

Trying to ban **** just makes it more highly sought after. Censorship just doesn't work. Never has, never will.

me too. same reason why i took drugs. same reason why i also believe that d.a.r.e. is actually funded by drug dealers in hopes of introducing the basics of drugs to kids at a young, stupid, and rebellious age through methods of "forbidden fruit".

I think it's genius! Those would be some smart ****ing drug dealers! The only people I've ever met that use DARE stickers are druggies! That **** makes sense! Either smart drug dealers started DARE or very stupid people that had their idea blow up in their face did.

LOL!! i think the smart dealers utilized the stupid people. but then again, the root of all human progress is the manipulative utilization of stupid people.
and that's funny you say that because i actually had a dare sticker on the back of my old school toyota pickup when i was a dealer too. dogg probably remembers that. never got pulled over once.

same theory goes along with cigarettes too. notice how they didn't really complain too much when they had to finance those "beware of smoking" ads...

as long as you remember that main drive behind nearly every single human effort is self-gain then there's not too much suprise in reality once it's exposed.

Purity was just sodomized by the correct. It's nature's law. I think we **** thinks up when we try to diverge from this path. In the words of the eminent Gordon Gecko; "Greed is Good!". We must learn to trust the invisible hand that guides us for the good of humanity.
