I need to get this game, pronto. Playing online is a completely different experience, my addiction for SOCOM 2 lasted for over 6 months.

Dave, I have an x-box, but I'll see what I can do. Maybe I can get ahold of a PS2.

As of right now I am 148-1 146 K.0s

I have created a heavyweight that is 39-2 with 39 KO's, current heavyweight champ, 1 defence against Roy Jones Jnr, KO in the 7th. He had knocked me down 9 times up until then, but my guys heart kicked in as I dropped him like a sack of spuds in the 7th 3 times.

I think the people who design console controllers are on acid when they come up with them.

... and playing games on 50-button keyboard is much less acidic. :ghost:

I've retired 3 boxers undefeated. 51-0 3 times. 2 Heavyweights, 1 LHW.

You my friend have way too much time on your hands right now...

I am working on a welterwieght who is 9-0 currently, he will go all the way

I had to kick it up to hard in order to present myself a challenge.

You use default button config? If you do... before we play... change.... to config 5. It puts the buttons back to KO King configuration, and bombs get dropped heavily.

I use config 6 from memory which seems to be kinda natural to me for some reason...

I need to spend some serious hours on this game I think..

I don't have a modem but to make things challenging I fight heavyweights with the small guys. Welterweights work the best, but I've beat heavies with featherweights many times. Try fighting Liston or Norton with a featherweight on hard, I've knocked them both out in the third with Marquez.

Yeah, fighting heavyweights with featherweights of roughly equal or lesser stats is the best. However, try fighting a 6'8 HW with maxed out stats. Even with a feather weight thats maxed out, its ****ing HARD

I'm going to try that right now using Morales. If I can't do it I'll max out a featherweight to.

Fallout

Well, its hard to do it with a legit featherweight because they all have such low body ratings. A hook to the body takes so much energy and stamina out of you....its just not fair

Yep, I fought with Morales and got destroyed to the body. In three fights I got one knockdown against him. I would have to have my revenge as a maxed out featherweight.

I created the featherweight phenom First Last and maxed out his stats, he would surely be the featherweight saviour. He and big 6'8, 281lb Jake Johnson would square off for maxed out superiority.

First round I counter punched effectively and even dropped the big man down in the first 2 minutes of the fight. Johnson quickly got up and ran right back at me, but this time he started to land. All his hooks, uppercuts and stinging jabs were scraping my face one shot at a time but I survived the round without suffering a fatal blow.

Round two started and I had brief success before he blew me away and scored his first knockdown. Now it wasn't a fight, it was a brawl. I got up with new determination, took the center of the ring and swore to stand my ground no matter what. He came in hard again but he missed, I made him miss, and I made him pay. Just before I could put him down round two had ended.

Round three was my turning point I nearly doubled his punches landed and floored him two times. Round four was still in my favor and knocked him down another three times(no three knockdown rule), but it was getting hard, my life was deteriorating through the fight and I had less then half left, every knockdown was a war that I barely won.

Round five it happened, I threw a right hook, left hook combo, just as he threw the perfect uppercut that that put me down hard. I had hoped it wouldn't come down to one hit knockdowns like I suffered as Morales. It was a struggle but I was up at the eight count. When he came to finish me off I made the effort of my fight night career to bob and weave away from his punches, and I countered the ***** out of him getting two kockdowns as the round closed.

At this point I was starting to worry. My life was just above his at this point and I didn't know how many more times I'd have to knock him down, and I felt that if I was knocked down again I probably wouldn't beat the count. Once again I walked to the center of the ring and waited for him, 23 landed punches later it was over, I knocked him dow 2 last times before he stayed down, I was barely standing.

In the end I knocked him down 10 times to his 2.
Landed 309 punches to his 204.(I didn't throw a single jab, and only landed 2 body shots)
And, landed 53% to his 47%.

That fight, word for word, was better in hindsight than any fight I've ordered on pay per view in the past year. You must achieve a modem, lightweight. We have a score to settle.

I wish I could accurately depict how brutal my KO's are, but to be hoenst, i devastate so quickly and efficiently that there's hardly a footnote past the fact that it was a round 1 or 2 knockout. I've tried to challenge myself additionally by playing on nothing but hard, to no avail. Bombs are dropping like it's hiroshima. It's time for you to bring it.

Sorry, I probably won't be getting one anytime soon. But, do like Creed said and fight as a maxed out featherweight vs a maxed out 6'8 heavyweight. That is the hardest(while still being very possible) fight I've had, especially with no three knockdown rule.

Do you guys use TPC or the face buttons? My right thumbstick is slightly off, so its tough to use TPC as I normaly end up throwing uppercuts insted of hooks. It still works great for defence though

The only thing I hate about the ****in game is the way your opponent runs for half the fight. Pisses me off
