Lol, on the second vid, the ref stops it even though Pac doesn't look hurt, and if you look at his shoulder, there is a British flag.

Sounds like their are biased refs even in the world of computer games.

lol I was just thinking that too. Pac was whoopin that ass and he got stop for no reason. But those guys playing the game sucked anyways. We'll get are chance to play as them soon with the Demo right around the corner.

Ya, I think Cleto Reyes gloves guys didn't get back to them in time for them to put that brand in the game.

But I dont like the way when you land a decent punch the whole screen seems to flash, I thought its supposed to be realistic

this is why i dont bother with boxing games, how is that footwork? there's no footwork in these games, they should allow more side-to-side and front-to-back movement, all that moves is the body.

They were slugging it out.

Not as great as i thought it was gonna be, the punch animations are a bit off, you can still land a silly amount of clean shots without hurting the other guy and they look like they havent made weight.

my point is ther is no footwork in these boxing games, it's just little strafes to the side or slowly moving back/foward

There is in the VB boxing games and it looks like there is here, it's just not being used.

It was only the first round though. If anything in FNR3, all you had to do was land a couple of haymakers and they were done.

I hope if you catch them clean on the chin they go down.

actually in the different views footwork is all to common.

In third fight night, if you got to open the smooth style, the footwork was a big deal

Want the perfect boxing game?

Victorious boxers with proper judging and less knockouts.

The gameplay was unreal, tons of fighters, the career mode had real belts, you could fight for the WBC lol, the in game fighting was major, footwork, angles, timing all needed.

Fight night round 4 looks quite a bit like FNR3 imo, similar dirty punch animations, fighters being able to land clean at will, fighterd not getting hurt and stumbling about, fighters getting hit with about 30 uppercuts clean and still fighting back as if nothing happened.

Just watched a bit of victorious boxers on youtube, it looked really fast actually, maybe times have moved on a little, i liked it at the time though.

The people playing had no regard for defense imo. I think it looks a ton better then FNR3 and I'm a huge fan of the VS series. The swaying looked VBesque.

The punches are a lot smoother then FNR3 and they glance now. I think played right, this game has a lot of damn potential.

VS is the best VB game btw. It needs a CAB desperately. The whole a ****load of knockouts come from the AI and lack of chin and with a CAB/Stats you're able to adjust, it'd easily be the best boxing game ever.

Oh and VS is a slowe VB2, they adapted the speed to make it slower. If the AI isn't throwing you still manage 70 punches a round or so. The AI is tough at first, but pretty easy once you start timing him.

Man, the character models are awful, the faces are ok I guess but they just all look fat... Hatton and Pacquiao on fight night are some of the most trim and toned guys and they look like they are fat here.

Hattons right hooks to the body look really dodgy.

I hate video games, they either make them all way too big and muscular, or they go the complete opposite way and make them all pudgy.

What I liked about VB is that lateral movement worked the way that it should do.

If you took a step to the left, your opponent would have to move himself in order to land straight punches/have you in front of him.

In other boxing games, lateral movement isn't as effective because your opponent 'lines up' with you automatically without having to do anything.

I played FNR3 earlier, and I don't think there's anything wrong with the way their bodies look in that game in terms of size. I'm not sure why they've bulked them up because they were fine last time around.

they prolly bulked the bodies up so you can clearly see the "PHYSICS engine" and how the muscles contract when throwing punches ect. LOL...

but we :crucified them so much they took videos down?? lol i think they may be trying to fix the bodies now lol

They said on the EA forums that they were still addressing the torso's and how some fighters looked bigger than they should, so hopefully the final game will have more accurate bodies.

Also, like I said in a different thread keep in mind this was a video of two people who didn't really know how to play the game. They obviously sucked, and were just punching/brawling. I'm sure if you put two skilled fighters in there and actually used the advantages of each fighter, it would look a lot prettier.

Its got a different visual style to it. It seems intentionally less realistic looking than FN3 and more of a computer animated style look.

The graphics are better in some ways as theyre more detailed, especially the shock waves on the guys face when they get hit.

But they also got that cartoon look to them. I liked FN3's graphics better.
