About the Green Taylor fight? I'm struggling to work up any sort of interest. At least when Mundine fights bums I pray he gets knocked out, with Green I'm just very meh. I wish he had've just hung onto his belt and fiddled around at light heavy for a while.

I put Green in the same class as Mundine. Except he tries to make out that he's the good guy.

Green needs to thank Mundine for leaving league and becoming a boxer. If Mundine wasn't around no one would have cared so much about him and he wouldn't be as rich as he is.

Sure he would have gotten some exposure like all our fighters do Katsidis etc, but he became a household name on the sheer fact that this is the GUY that's going to KO Mundine and the GUY that Mundine's not scared to fight.

Green is a joke he couldn't even beat Bayer in a rematch.

Not enough is made of this.

Sure Green got robbed first time round when he fought an unprepared Beyer, but when Beyer actually showed up to fight Green was not up to the challenge. I know Beyer was a belt holder but he was a B-class fighter at best, and Danny could not beat him.

Green is one of the most overrated Australian fighters to have boxed.

Was a fan of Danny's up until he beat Lucas convincingly. After being disqualified against Beyer for headbutting him like a moron. I'd like to ask Danny why he'd do something so stupid after knocking him down twice and being on the verge of stopping him in his hometown?

If anyone was going to pull a stunt like that it'd be Beyer to try and diminish Green. Not the other way around. The fact Green put in a very lacklustre performance against an average Champion tells you something.

Still reeling at how Mirovic got robbed blind after trouncing that Russian giant Valuev. Big Bob took him to school.

Calling Green a joke is quite honestly an insult to jokes....Waste of human life would be a better description

Seems harsh i know but i hate how he tries to make money off the main waste of human life (mundine), and how he tries to play the good guy, it just irritates the hell out of me

throw in the fact hes a mediocre boxer and his abilities are overrated and you have a thoroughly unlikeable person

Spot-on! Glad that someone has said it, Beyer was a decent fighter but as you said b-level and he schooled green for 11.5 rounds (a slip in the 12th nearly cost him), put in perspective - looked what happened when Beyer fought a real good fighter in Kessler, didnt get past 4 rounds.

Green is worse than Mundine, playing the good guy while not really stepping up either - what happened to the Tarver fight?, would have loved to see Tarver bounce green off the matt a few times.

I know he wont but would love to see Taylor upset him, more than that would love to see Mundine keep his word and not fight Green again

I agree. Green has played that game to death, you don't need his overate ass back on the scene to try and milk the Aussie public buy buying the PPV's.

I don't like him because he is a B-level fighter that acts like an elite superstar.

His return has made me like him even less. How the man can still have any pride in himself after sitting there with his kid on his lap in tears saying he just "knows its time to go and he won't be back" and then come back within the year is just disgusting. It was all so obvious and pathetic. He is a classless muppet.

If I could give you Green K, I would Bro. That is a great post. I couldn't have put it better myself. I'm actually happy I'm not the only one who sees Danny Green for what he really is.

Are you serious? why does it irritate you? because he's successful? made lots of money? won a world title? has hundreds of thousands of fans? can dance? everyone loves him because he's a genuine good guy? is that you being irritated or jealous?
and Mundine you also hate, why becuase he has done a lot for Australian boxing? is one of the best athletes we have ever seen? etc etc....... you sound very bitter, my advice just sit back and enjoy the ride as I am, I am already enjoying the build up for their re match, can't wait and I know it will have the whole nation talking boxing again.

Danny cant dance mate, thats why Mundine punched him in the face so many times.
Danny cant move, he is to stiff. The reason he got so far on the dancing with the stars, is cause he plays the nice guy and everybody loves him 4 it.

Spot On mate. I dont want to see a re-match. Green done nothing the first time and will do nothing next time.I used to like the bloke but the way he users Mundine to make money is a joke.If Danny doesnt get Mundine to fight him who is he going to fight. The guy wouldnt defend hes so called title against top light heavy weights.
Retired because of a cherning in the stomach, my arse he had a **** in hes pants.
Mundine did fight Kessler, thats more than i can say for Danny.

I dislike both of these guys because they are charging $50 for fights that are barely watchable. In doing so they are effectively making the fight inaccessible to the general sporting public. Why would you watch boxing when you have to pay $50 for a couple of hours of complete **** when you can watch a great game of football for nothing?

Just because they participated in a one-off event that generated a lot of short-term hype does not mean they are doing right by the sport. These guys are, unfortunatley, a couple of the best fighters we have got/have had over the past few years. If anyone was going to help carry Australian boxing forward it was them. They have failed. Miserably.

I wouldnt even go to the Pub to watch them fight. In hope that the Pub wont waste its money on these two money hungry C####.If Mundine beats Geale and then doesnt step up i hope he retires. Charging $50 for that ****,when we can watch overseas fights that r better for less money.

I agree. I am staggered that I can pay $40 to watch an ATG p4p king fight a Ring Magazine Champ in the most anticipated fight of the year and then they ask me for $50 to watch a past-prime never-was against an overrated never-will-be. That might be being harsh on Geale but the fact remains that it is a complete joke.

Hate to tell you but people still pay... obviously not you which is fine by me as everyone is entitled to their opinion but the fact is people will pay. You cannot hold it against Mundine for that and good luck to Geale, I hope he wins, he deserves it. And good luck to Mundine, very few get the chance to make millions out of this game and whether you like him or not he has succeeded at achieving this as has Danny Green, and you must admit they still are good fighters, if they weren't making the money you might not bag them as much, good boxers and good business men whether everyone thinks this or not. The facts are they have won belts, made lots of money and entertained a lot of people(which all fighters dream of doing) .

If they did no something they would not be paying good money like that for the ****y fights they r paying for.
But hey if people r that stupid thats their own fault.

I am not denying that they have successfully milked it for all its worth and then some, or that they have made a load of money, just that they have not been a positive influence on the sport in Australia.

Are they good fighters? I guess I might call Mundine's career "good" in some ways. Obviously it is so far short of what he claims it to be it is ridiculous but he has won a couple of alpha belts and beaten one or two solid fighters. For Australian standards, I guess he has had a reasonable/good career. Green? I don't think so. What is his best win? A past-prime Lucas. His championship was won from Drews, who is a C-level fighter from what I have seen. I am not prepared to say he has had a good career.

Also, I wanna see numbers. I just cannot accept that the Green-whoeverthefukhewas card sold anything other than dismally.
