That's really good. Didn't expect him to sell that much. What was his lead single?

I think originally it was that song By My Side, which I thought was very dope. I'm not sure what his current single is, maybe can't stop me now...

Is this even on pace to go gold though? I imagine without a hit single it won't, at least not for awhile...

i think a lot will depend on what single he drops next.....his last two albums went platinum, so i guess this is a sign of the times.

although ALL his albums have been "top notch" IMO, this last one is his best....

maybe......i think, there might be a couple more cards he can play...

they say this was the most successful "NY" release in a year, but i'm a lil' disappointed....i thought my dude would move at least 200-250!

135k out the gate first week right now is a major accomplishment for kiss... look at buddens album, he had some fire on there and he only pushed 13,000 out the gate.
Florida two weeks in hasnt even broke 90,000
Jim Jones two weeks in is only at 66,000
Oh and Mims moved 13,000 first week numbers

If your name isnt lil wayne, Jay Z, or kanye west, to break 100k first week is certainly an accomplishment.

Good for Jada. I hope that his next single might be "Grind Hard" with Mary, or maybe "What If" with Nas.

No one is ever going to sell what they used to in the early to mid 2000's. PERIOD... I think its just a sign of the times... For anyone to go platinum in hip hop is REALLY tough these days. Its tough in all forms of music, but I think hip hop has the highest amount of people downloading and not buying the albums.

Also, if 135K is good these days... why does everyone hate on GUnit for doing 180K their first week out with TOS? I thought that was a pretty decent album from GUnit, but 50 haters always bring that up when they talk about Fif falling off. Yet some of the same haters are happy that Jada sold 135K... Hmmm

^They did 102K, actually.

135 is good in this day and age, he's had a few club happy singles....I'm guessing chicks bought atleast 90K of his albums the first day.

On another note, this is not the album of the year so far. Not an opinion, fact.

Okay, I was off by a few... LOL but would you consider this a flop in this day in age?

"The album debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 with sales of 110,000 albums for the first week.[23] The album has since sold 500,000 album copies in the United States and over 1,500,000 World Wide sense its release."

In this day and age, not necessarily (a flop), but the album is awful in all honesty. Looks like they evened out I guess but as far as the quality goes, Beg For Mercy is infinitely better.
