Agnostic is probably closer to my beliefs. I do believe that there is order in the universe and at one point or another matter was created from nothing which goes against the laws of physics so I guess I believe that there was some catalyst or prime mover that caused the big bang. I just can't believe that it's some sentient super being that cares about our morality(definately don't believe in the Bible, I could write pages on why not). I don't think humanity will ever understand how or why we got here. Not a very comforting belief system through tough times. As far as old school, I think so. With Will Farrel and Luke Wilson? I seem to remember it being funny, but I was too high to remember any of it.

Not gonna watch it. I didn't watch the video of Daniel Pearl getting beheaded, and I'm not gonna watch that one.

I have seen it a couple of times and as much as I recognise it as being horrific, I must admit I am somewhat desensitised to a lot of that sort of thing...after seeing a couple of friends have range accidents and dying or being blown in two, video footage kinda loses its edge.

It is wrong though, and is a cry back to the Japanese in WWII who did similar acts against Australian and US POWS in the Pacific...only they didn't televise it.

Yeah, infantry for 4 years, recon/snipers. Saw a guy who was only 18 get shot up in a live fire exercise about 10 yards from me (I didn't shoot him, guy next to me did) and about a month later, a good mate of mine had 3 grenades detonate in one of his pouches and his body from the chest down became vapour about 30 metres from me. That one was hard to take.

We also use to get shown videos of gunshot victims and how they react as part of first aid training, so you wouldn't freak so much when it happens in front of your eyes..don't work, seeing someone get shot up aint easy to see.

A beheading is a lot more inhuman and personal than that, and is disturbing, but the gore of it is nothing new to my eyes sadly. The message of it all is pretty harsh though.
