I was going to post this exact same thing..He's lost!! If he had stayed on the kiddy wave a bit longer then he would still be that artist that every kid loves..He stepped out on some grown man stuff and couldn't face the heat..He made a couple of ok track but he was never as huge as he was as a kid..

Everyone Jermaine Dupri puts out raps like JD, has JD's production, and so they sound good and sell well. JD recognized that he, in front of the camera, wasn't as marketable as behind the scenes...there was more of an "image" to put out back when he came out...This was back before the sub-par rapping of Diddy, Kanye, etc. was 'allowed'

Kriss Kross, Da Brat, Bow Wow...have you noticed they all rapped the same way? They were all JD puppets... and when they left him, the magic was gone.

^Nobody can deny he's a good producer. I can name atleast 30 I prefer to him for strictly hip-hop producing but he knows how to churn out a hit, put simply.
