I'm no historian or anything, but here's my best guess.

I say that they could have possibly be blonde and blue-eyed back then. Then the Moors invaded Europe and mixed with us and you get people who look like me and Paniko. Dark hair, bushy eyebrows, and some color in the skin.

Then again I'm just guessing and it could just be the nice weather that gives us our charming good looks.

Achillies vs. Hector sucked because Achillies was already invulnerable(except of course the heal that the goddess had to hold him by when she dipped him in the river styx to make him bulletproof) and he still had help from appollo(karate chop to the neck) while Hector was just a normal bad ass. It just isn't fair. Stupid greek tragedies.

Thats very true, and this is just more proof that Brad Pitt isn't a ***** and is a man's actor. He consitently pumps out intense movies and plays intense characters well.

Me and my girl loved it. It didn't feel like 2h43m at all. It was sad in some parts and crazy action in others. It was a great movie and will be in my collection when it comes out. We're probably gonna see it again this weekend.

i watched it today, it was a decent movie but i think they changed a lot of things. patrocles wasn't the cousin of achilles was he? i thought achilles gave patrocles lended the armor to patrocles instead of pat stealing it. i also thought paris killed achilles with a spear instead of a bow and i thought achilles was running when he got hit? it was a decent movie if you dont mind all of the small changes

You recall correctly. Also, Apollo helped Achilies in his fight with hector via **** you chop to the neck. I heard also heard that Hector killed Ajax when in the book Ajax survived. I hate when hollywood doesn't stick to the storyline. If they're gonna change **** around in one of the greatest stories ever told they just should've called it gladiator deaux.

Who cares if it's not exact. It's just a variant of the story of Troy and it's still a damn good movie.

It's just that I loved Homers works and the Gods were a major part of the story, to exclude them seems wrong. I'll still see it, I'm sure it'll be the entertaining type of big budget blockbuster I'm expecting, I just hate when people try to fix something that's not broken, especially a classic.

Homer's version is full of fantasy. With this movie they tried to recreate it in a real world setting.

Recent discovery have confirmed that the City of Troy actually existed, and they think that the Trojan War might actually had happen. My guess is they're using Homer's The Illiad as a point of reference for waht might have ocurred, but they're portraying it as an actual war where there were no Titans or Gods.

Yeah, that's what I was saying.

I finally saw this movie last night. Great movie,but I didn't like the final scene where they completely went off the actual story just to give it a Hollywood ending.

How nice were the battle scenes? Achilles and Hector kicked ass.
