most of the technology we have today is a result of past wars
so, is war good?------short term-no-----long term-yes

War is good sometimes. World War 1 did alot of good things for Canada if you ask me.

It basicly made us a nation


However, wars like this are different. There aren't huge sweeeping battles, there aren't major advances in technology. They do however, bring down goverments and cause long lasting scars.

IBM computer technologies were first greatly used in WW2 to break nazi codes

this is the type of stuff im talkin bout
(even nuclear technology)

without wars, we wouldn't have a lot of the luxuries we have today

I guess it comes down to competition and being on top

i've always looked at wars as forest fires for humanity.
