The Victim 04-14-2009, 03:46 AM its dissapointing dat he didnt come bac with a hot album after being gone for so long...dis album is juss mediocre..
THe TRiNiTY 04-14-2009, 04:23 AM From what I've heard of the album, I'm slightly let down. However, I've stopped putting SO much faith in Jada albums. His mixtapes always seem to be far superior.

Idk about classic but maybe a great album. Rite now its just good. I don't know, I just aint feelin tha album too much. Kiss Tha Game Goodbye was crack. Nothing on Last Kiss ****z wit Show Discipline, We Gonna Make It, or Put Ya Hands Up IMO.
th4l3pr3ch4un 04-14-2009, 09:42 AM To each his own, Grind Hard is now one of my favorite songs of all time
Addition 04-14-2009, 11:13 AM I thought the album was the **** and i'm not a fan of Jada.
Savino 04-14-2009, 12:13 PM I think people who are let down by this album expected way to much from this album. Jada puts out good albums but his best work are on the mixtapes like someone said. that grind hard song is a banger though.

thats that ****!!!!!!!!
FLY TY 04-14-2009, 03:21 PM the thing about MOST albums, not considered classics, is that they usually AREN'T good enough, or they just contain too little material. with jada, his problem is that ALL his albums are usually about 18 tracks deep, and while most of the tracks are good to hot, in his case, less will probably be more.....
in his first album, it was great, but not too many of the tracks spoke on "real" **** (with the exception of "FEEL ME"). it was more of a showcase of his rhyming ability.
the second album was better, because it seemed like he came from the heart more, and he had a few more "real" tracks (Bring You Down, Still Feel Me, I'm Goin' Back, etc. etc.)
this last album had everything, but to me there were some tracks that kinda dragged the album out, and were largely unnecessary.....( the 2 Neptunes tracks, Cartel Gathering, I tried, Something Else REMIX- the original was already hot, the remix didn't add anything). not that those tracks were bad, they were just extra "fat" the album could've cut out....
The tracks I chose to keep were the two singles (they were nice "commercial songs jada could use to push the album, and draw in fans that don't usually listen to him).
Same reason i kept the wayne track (cuz he's one of the hottest rappers in the game, and although the track wasn't great and really isn't commercial, having wayne would give the album that extra "commercial appeal".) I kept the two tracks w/ D-Block "affiliations" cuz its jada, seems only right......The swizz beats track has a wack hook, but its a dance track (every album should have one, and jada saves the track from swizz's wack ass). The rest of the tracks were GREAT-to-CLASSIC (Grind Hard, Something Else, Things I've Been Through, What If, Smoking Gun) PAIN AND TORTURE was a great intro, and LETTER TO B.I.G. is a classic outro Jada should've ended the album with.........
Had jada "cut out the fat" and stuck with the "meat" of the album (about 12 tracks) it would've been classic, IMO. The album definitely has enough material to do so, the downfall was 6 or so mediocre, unnecessary tracks.....just my opinion.

Nice post, personally i liked the tracks with the neptunes but i can see why some of the heads wouldnt... ive been an undercover R&B fan for a while i got to admit.. (NO HOMO LOL)
Grind hard, what if, pain and torture, and something else, are the real standout tracks. If jada isnt your current favorite rapper it better be big, pac, or nas. real talk ahah
Truth 04-15-2009, 09:49 AM I think people don't want classics anymore......lol
not that i think its a classic. but even if it was, i don't think people would say it.
