Scorecard Insanity
The only way you can come up with 2 judges having the fight 114-111 for Ruiz is absolute insanity.

1 round had 2 knockdowns that's a 10-7 round for golota.
1 round had 1 point taken away, that's a 10-8 round for golota.
1 round Golota easily won, that's a 10-9 round for golota.

So you can look at it 2 ways.

The most points you can have is 120.
If Golota has 111 after the 3 rounds we just mentioned that would mean he lost 9 out of 12 rounds
by a score of 10-9.

They only gave Golota rounds 2,3,&4 because they had to (legally)

The rounds that are most suspicious are 5, 7, & 8.
Everyone including ringside press gave these rounds to Golota.
That score tallies to 114-111 for Golota
If you gave him only 2 of those rounds (meaning he has only won 5 rounds total)because you felt sorry for Ruiz it scores 113-112 Golota.
If you gave Golota only 1 of those rounds out of absurdity ( he now has won only a total of 4 rounds)
then the fight would have been 113-112 for Ruiz. 1 Judge did have this score and he should have been called a Moron.
So 114-111 for Ruiz is beyond robbing a guy.
It basically breaks down to you winning only 1 round on the judges scorecards. The other 2 rounds were musts because
of the knockdowns and a point taken away. These judges were looking for any reason to give the fight to Ruiz.

This is my exact point too!!! It is imppossible to score the fight 114-111 without proving to the world that you are a biased crook!!!

Even more disturbing is how you give that win to Ruiz. I give him mad credit for devoloping a style that gives guys fits. Even more credit for stopping Oqendo. I just cant see how it beats Golotas performance. I cant help but think Golota is being punished for his past. This is his second fight back and Colonna has him in great shape, mentally and physically. How many fights does he need to prove he is stable. I like both fighters but that scoring indicates that judges were looking for reasons to give Ruiz rounds. They were not scoring them based on anything that resembles effectiveness.

Nice job, great post and an even better evaluation - I tip my hat and toss you some karma on that one....

In order for Ruiz to get a 114-111 score. He had to have won the first round and every round from 5-12, Golota only gaining 2, 3 and 4.

Three things from me today ......

No. 1. RICK - If boxing fans ever needed to rally, it's now. Who do we start emailing, calling and writing to, as of right now? Unloading in this forum is a good start, but preaching to the converted is useless.

No. 2. SUPREMECY ..... didn't see it last night. And won't see it with judging like that.

No. 3. GOLOTA ...... I'm on his side because of last two performances, not because he's been robbed both times. He's big, he's athletic, he can bang, he's proved his chin, he's matured, he's beaten two reigning champs in his last two fights!

As long as there is no one to investigate these judges, refs and Don King (IE, FBI) or better yet no one who could kill Don King **** like this will continue to go on. The fans constantly get ****ted on.

Like I said earlier on another thread, I had 12 people over my house and all 12 were convinced that Golota pulled out the decision. Those same 12 people were somewhat split on the Byrd vs Mccline decision. 9 said Byrd won and 3 said Mccline won.
