Subject: The rumors about Wanderlei Silva are TRUE!

Dear friends,

Wanderlei Silva made a magnetic resonance in the Vita Hospital in Curitiba and passed for an evaluation of Dr. Mario Namba, one of the biggest knee authorities in Brazil, that already operated the proper Wanderlei and the olimpic gymnast Daiane Dos Santos. Also the doctor will be part of the Brazilian team in the next Olimpic Games in Atenas.

A small injury in the right knee of the athlete was evidenced, light bruise of trainings and that nothing has with the problem that took the Wanderlei to be operated in 2002. The doctor recommended at least 4 weeks of physiotherapy and reduction of the load of training what probably will postpone the fight with Kondo for the end of June. Wanderlei seemed very calm and confident for a fast recovery and guaranteed that to depend on it the combat with Kondo will be in the second stage of PRIDE GP in June.

In annex the photos of the Medical evaluation with Dr. Mario Namba.

Best regards,

Julio Heller

The email was sent from Silva's PR man.
The translation is a little rough but it looks like they will reschedule the fight for June at the Grand Prix show.

Sucks he's hurt, but it's good it had nothing to do with the surgery. Hope he does recover fast.
