Vargas vs Ayala Jr
Hearns vs Jones
McClellan vs Pazienza
would have been mismatches in the 90's. Probably Mugabi and Jackson as well, "The Beast" was used up after the brutal Hagler fight.
Norris vs Chavez was almost made if not for Norris being knocked out and DQ'd.
Moorer vs Morrison would've been a good brawl.
KnockoutTheFat 04-10-2009, 03:36 PM Golota-Holy
Shiranui 04-10-2009, 03:37 PM Bowe-Lewis
McClellan-Everyone (likewise Jones...Benn, Eubank)
Toney-the Brits
Kid McCoy 04-10-2009, 03:38 PM Tyson vs Foreman
Lewis vs Bowe
Hamed vs Morales
Toney vs Hopkins
Jones vs Michalczewski
TheGreatA 04-10-2009, 03:39 PM It wasn't a dream match then but Calzaghe (who fought Eubank) vs Hopkins (who fought Johnson) in 1997 would've probably been a very entertaining fight (unlike the 2008 version).
BattlingNelson 04-10-2009, 03:46 PM Besides those mentioned I can off the top my head name these:
Ottke-Calzaghe
Holyfield-Tyson (should have been earlier)
Nunn-Leonard
cotto16 04-10-2009, 03:50 PM Vargas vs Ayala Jr

Sometimes mismatches make for great fights and great upsets, go and watch dougals/tyson, sanchez/nelson, lloyd honeyghan vs don curry, Holyfield vs Tyson 1 if you want proof
warp1432 04-10-2009, 04:01 PM Jones vs DM and Bowe vs Lennox are clearly the top two of that era.
Also, it wouldn't be a good fight, but I would have liked to seen DLH vs Leonard. It would have been a beatdown, but I'd much rather see it then Leonard vs Camacho.

Got to agree with you there, it was gonna happen, but camacho didnt get the script and give ray a beatdown. It would of been a true icon vs Icon Match, a bit like hogan vs Rock at wrestlemania 18:rofl:

I would have rather not seen it at all.
To be honest De La Hoya would probably get even more hate today if he had beaten up an old Leonard. He already gets his share for beating JC Chavez and Whitaker.
At lower weights it would've been interesting to see Ricardo Lopez step up against Humberto Gonzales and Michael Carbajal.
MANGLER 04-10-2009, 04:21 PM I think Moorer v LL to unify HW woulda been a good fight. They both got KO'd around the same time.
PLATE 04-10-2009, 04:52 PM The greatest fight that never happened as far as I'm concerned was TYSON vs TUA. I don't care what era those two got together in, it would've been magic!

Dream Fight that didnt took place
Tyson vs Foreman
James 420 04-17-2009, 06:02 PM Holmes vs Foreman 1991, just so Foreman would whip his ass and Larry would quit *****ing about his legacy.

Foreman was a great fighter and I've got nothing but respect for him, but I think Larry would have beat him in '91 and any other time in their respective careers.
James 420 04-18-2009, 11:00 AM Holmes had mad skills and he is probably one of the most underated heavyweights ever, but his constant whining about other boxers gets old.I might be wrong but I still think Foreman wins in 1991.
