Share your ways of getting tough and defined six pack abs ?
And how you get rid of the thin layer of body fat that seems to love to attach itself to your lower stomach and obliques ?

The easiest way I got abs was running. I run three miles every morning and at least a mile and a half at the gym as a warm up.

if you arent blessed with the genes then diet is #1 to get that fat off the quickest then cardio 3+ times a week 3+ miles per session(the more the better) and your abs should show up. if you want them to be a bit more full then do your ab workouts and add weights to your liking. but diet is 1 and cardio is 2. depending on your genes and your current ab definition it should start showing up when you step into the single digit body fat %. gl and diet diet diet cardio cardio cardio.

Nah my genes are alright lol
The six pack is visible when i tense, looks pretty sweet, but just wanted them more defined and maybe to show up when i'm not tensing.
Just got a very thin layer of fat where the bottom abs are, below the belly button.

You managed to get abs from doing pushups alone? No situps or crunches or nothing?

I read in a magazine you can do all the treadmill work and sit ups in the world but if crisps and cheese are part of your diet you'll still never get a six pack .

the lower abs below the belly are hit n miss with the genes at times. a lot of bodybuilders dont even have the abs below the belly button as big as the upper ones. if you want your abs to be bigger then you have to add resistance to your ab workouts. decline situps with dumbbells or a plate. hanging leglifts. up your protein a little more to feed those hungry abs when you start going heavy on them. you really gotta push your abs hard 3-4 times a week with the kind of weight that you can handle.

Its a ***** trying to get them(I hate sit-ups). Once you get them though, your good to go.

Dont forget. Dont just get the "show" abs, you need "functional" abs. The ones that will protect your internal organs not just look pretty. I've seen many people with great "looking" abs take a shot to the body and crumble.
