Hey guys I'm a big fantasy football fan and understand it completley.I usually do pretty well in it every year..I am trying to get back into baseball hardcore this year like I used to be.I'll make this straight to the point..

In football I always shoot for s running back or 2 first in the draft. They usally generate me more points in my op...In fantasy baseball I dont know where to start with the draft?? I have ideas and know who I want and all.Its just a matter of when I want them.

Do I shoot for big hitters first? Do I shoot for a pitcher or 2.What positions on average usually generate alot of fantasy points?
Thanks guys I have a live draft tonight for a league I started with my family and just want some tips...

I'll be back on this afternoon thanks in advance...

my ideas is draft a well balanced team...if u cant get a big hr hitter get a bunch of 20+ hr guys...most of all grab a couple steals guys wether they gr8 players or not...and of course grab at least 2 gr8 starting pitchers...jus my opinion tho...

I'm a bit late to help. Hope your draft went well.
Anyway I try to seperate each position into "levels" and then try to get the most high level players possible. Early in the draft I look for a do it all type guy, a guy who can get you points in every, or at least most categories. Pitchers are funny. Once 1 or 2 go it creates a domino effect and if you don't strike you can wind up with a weak staff.

if you can draft that team you'll be all set. maybe sub out morneau with a top pitcher and grab joey votto in the 6th/7th round instead.

votto is going to go 30hr/120rbi/.320 avg this year.

Thanks guys I think I got a pretty good team so far...help me find my weak points. these are my starters atm ..Here's my team:

posada
fielder
pedroia
M,Cabrera
Alexei Ramirez
beltran
V,Guerrero
B,Abreu
Teixiera
C,Delgado

Pitchers:
Santana
Beckett
Wood
Rivera
Sabathia
Valverde

Maine

I know this team is decent and could use some work...but seems good for my first fantasy draft..I've actually made quite a few trades to get this team..thanks lookings for opinions now??Thanks in advance..

Great picks, best picks are Justin Upton, 5 tool playas

You got to have a balanced team, leave room for adding and dropping guys who suddenly CUM out of no where (i.e Justin Upton) At the start of the year, my serious league I had Johan, Halladay, Cliff Lee, Verlander, Nathan, and my team was doin ok but I had to find batting cuz I was losin big time in batting stats, but now I traded The Doc and got Howard, Chipper Jones for him now Im killin the league and in 1st place with a balanced team :D

Bloded are your weak points, there should be better playas then them, and Kerry Wood gets alot fo K's but his ERA is higher than ****
