Since if you're like me you will be running on the side of the road which sometimes puts more weight and pressure on one side of your foot which leads to ankle and feet injuries. I've had some serious feet injuries of lately and I think its because a couple months ago I trained my body hard with ankle weights and a weighted vest. I think weighted clothing is good and all but not out-doors since most of the pavement isn't even. I'd say weight-clothes is best used on a treadmill since its a flat even surface.
What do you all have to say? Do you agree or disagree why I've been having feet problems of lately. I think it is linked to that personally.

running with ankle weights on??? wow, yea DO NOT do that - its an easy way to get yourself hurt
Running with ankle weights on :frown:
That is a really really bad idea and doing it on a hard concreate sidewalk is even worse.
Ankle weights and weighted vests are best used up hills.
Pick hills or steps and go up and down at a good pace with them on much better work.
For even better work do it up and down sand dunes at a beach the shifting sand really works the legs.
However if your going to do any sort of running don't use ankle weights

Running with ankle weights can really mess up your lower back because of the uneven jarring.

I run on concrete with ankle weights and wrist weights a solid 5 mile run at 6 am daily. **** has no affect on me. I am like Ali without them on. I promise ya.

I run with wrist weights and apart from slowing me down and tiring me more, they dont have any negative affect on me.
I havent tried weighted vests or ankle weights yet, but i doubt its the weights responsible for you hurting yourself, probably more to do with your posture when running.
They wouldnt be sold and recommended for running if they would always result in injury.
My opinnion on the matter anyways lol.

That's weak son, I run with while carrying a 100 lb keg and a chute. Sometimes if I feel like it, I'll tie an extra 100 lbs to drag through the streets.

You shouldn't do that **** as the surface isn't flat I think you're only supposed to walk with them.
Even if you don't feel the affects now it will plague you sometime in the future. Somethings look good on paper but for practical reasons they are not.
