First of all, before I start, I understand that the following ideas and opinions that I am about to express may be a bit controversial, but I do have the best good will in mind. As a Proud Filipino, I am disgusted at What I am seeing here in the boxingsceneforums. I've never really in my life logged onto the boards (until now anyway), but I am a huge boxing fan and I do check up on it to see other peoples thoughts on fights and other boxing-related topics as they usually are interesting and comical. However, what I've been reading is just downright disgusting and utterly disrespectful.

I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of a poster named Xcaret who has been responsible for spewing many of these Anti-Pinoy sentiments. He claims we are weak, that we are ugly, that our pride is ridiculous, that our boxers are inferior along with the entire race itself. Then the true Pinoys stand up to themselves, arguing that at least the Filipinos were able to stand up to the Spaniards hispanization of the country and keep most of their culture while the Mexicans (Xcaret) were raped, and their entire culture and idealogy transformed in the process. I say all this, with one thing in mind, and that is, someone must apologize...

and it is the Filipinos on this website that ought to apologize to Xcaret, for all the pain you caused him! Now, I know what you are thinking...I am not Xcaret, and in-fact I don't even know him personally, and I don't even care if he even likes me. The fact is that most of what Xcaret says is true, and stupid Filipinos like yourselves that make the other Filipinos like me look stupid continue to argue a lost cause. Filipinos would never have the legacy that China, Mexico, and other countries contributed to the world, because they will remain stuck as a third world country.

Even Boxingwise, we fail in comparison to Mexico. Sure we produced Manny, Gabriel Elorde, and Pancho Villa - but Mexicans can claim to have Julio Cesar Chavez, Roberto Duran (I know he's panamanian, but you know...), Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, Manuel Ortiz, Miguel Canto, and my favorite boxer - the horribly underrated Pipino Cuevas. Filipinos sing in rejoice as Manny wins his matches, and we are proud of him, yet Mexican's have like 20 other undefeated prospects...as a matter fact, I doubt most Filipinos were even boxing fans without Manny...

A survey conducted in six countries in Asia and the United States showed that Filipino men were twice more likely than their Asian counterparts to value good looks and spend time and money on grooming. While a considerable number of Asian men felt that looking good was “neither important nor unimportant,” 58 percent of Filipino men thought it was “very important,” according to the survey conducted by global market research company Synovate Inc. I find that laughable. We Filipinos are ugly, and you know it. Matter a fact, I think the fair-skinned Vietnamese are better looking than us. Our Women are busted up and have terrible teeth, and men look like Dirty Mexicans with *****y eyes...thats nothing to be proud of. It's good enough to admit one's deformities and be proud to be given life by god, but Filipinos are just too proud, too vain, for what little they have done or what little they are.

Under circumstances not under our control, the Philippines was perhaps the farthest colony from Spain. And While Spaniards were able to do more of the Women Indians from the America's...the same can't be said of the Filipino race, which remains relatively untouched. The Spaniards should have ****ed more Filipinos creating more half-white/Asian Mestizo's (Who are usually more beautiful than the Mestizos of present day Latin-America), so they are part to blame for this. We can never have the light skinned, tall, White features that our friends in Latin-America Possess. Did I mention, our boxers fail in comparison also...

What I'm trying to say is that Pinoy Pride is a Joke, and nonexistent. It is an evil little thing which is eating the Philippines apart, and I can't let that happen to my country, and the country that I love. Art Bell saw through all of this, and he was right. The Philippines can never have the legacy that most Asian Countries contributed, and I don't even know why he compared the Philippines to Mexico and Africa and Spanish Countries. I mean the Aztecs and Mayans are Superior in every possible way, contributing many systems of irrigation and calendars. I am also especially disgusted to find many pinoys here claiming that we were able to drive the Spaniards away and keep our culture. You imbeciles, without the 300 years of Spanish Colonialism, we wouldn't even have a culture. What was Philippines before the White Men Came....nothing! Just a Loose Association of Mayan-Stock. In fact most of our history is recorded in Spanish...but Guess what???? We Filipino's can't even Speak in Spanish. At least the Latin Indians were able to learn the ****ing language. We couldn't even do that right. Spanish eventually ceased to exist as an official language in the Philippines by the 70's during Marco's reign. Bottomline is that our Culture or whatever it was Raped and changed just as much as the Mexicans. We are just too Stupid and full of ourselves to admit it...

I am being the best Pinoy I can be and I am doing something and saying things that other Pinoys are afraid to say and do. I am admitting our inferiority as a third world country but I am being Proud of it. You guys can thank me later after Ricky Hatton body punches Manny to Oblivion. In Fact I ask all Filipinos on this board to come post their apologies to Xcaret, who had to go through all the abuse we filipinos have been ****ting him with...

Finally found time to read through your garbage.

If you measure a people only by the legacy they leave to foreigners,
then I feel sorry for you. I do not base my pride in being Filipino on
the opinions or goodwill of outsiders.

I have not heard ANY Filipino seriously claim that our boxing heritage is
greater than Mexico's. We're proud of Manny's accomplishments, period.

You seem rather obsessed with good looking men, heheh.

I couldn't care less whether you find me handsome or not.
The women I've loved and been loved by, over the years,
are the ones whose opinions do count, whatever their race
or nationality.

If your pride is based not in who you are, but instead,
in how you resemble another, then I feel sorry for you.

I may not be tall nor light skinned, nor possess "white features" (lol, wtf..),
but I stand tall, am light hearted and possess the "right features"
to be happy with myself. My wife seems quite happy too.

The Banaue rice terraces kick the **** out of any MesoAm irrigation projects,
and they're still in active use. Who exactly did the Mayans contribute their
calendar to?
Nice try.

Mayan stock? What have you been reading?
Mayans actually come from Asian stock.
Asians crossed the Bering-Strait land bridge into poresent day Canada and
down through present day U.S. into Mexico.

:)

What percentage of today's Mexicans can speak Mexica/Nahuatl?
Today's Filipinos have retained their ancient languages, and because
these languages are alive, they continue to evolve.

Mexicans will recover from having had far more of their native culture,
language and genetics "raped" out of them, although you sound like
you feel all that "rape" was a good thing; as if you wish your mother
and her mother before her had been raped by white Spaniards...
so you could have been born "beautiful", LOL.

Now, I've responded to your trolling expedition as if you actually believed
all the **** you've posted. It's obvious this is all faked, but it took you time

It was one from a group with real patriotic feelings for their country. It was meant for decent people with real taste.

If Xcaret is a genius by your standard, then all people suffering from mental retardation (and it appears to include you too) would be geniuses. Very clearly, your comment also reflects your very limited mental capacity and emotional immaturity. What a shame. We pity you.

Being Filipino-American, I speak and understand little Tagalog. But I do Speak English, and everday I teach myself Spanish and French (I took classes on them too), which are both far more applicable here than Tagalog. Well maybe not French, but the French is for other reasons.

The English is at-least good enough to understand the works of Nick Joaquin, "Quijano De Manila", my favorite Author. I'd bet most of the dumbassed Filipinos of this generation had forgotten about him, and haven't even read stories like "The Summer Solstice" and "May Day Eve". He's subtle, but you can tell that Joaquin has great affinity and love for the Colonial Power that gave his country Culture and history. He also has great love for his characters, who are usually derived from the Spanish-Speaking Elite.

Well I have...and It usually comes from this bull**** with Manny destroying the Mexican Fighters. Ironic, considering that Juan Manuel Marquez beat his ass, and will do so again if they ever meet. When was the last time "We" learned about the Rice Terraces in history/Civilization class. Never. We Learn about the contributions of Meso-America and Africa, and all we have to offer are stinkin rice-terraces.

Face-it, we Filipinos are the "invisible Asians", despite having such a close colonial and immigration history with the United States of America.

Cesar Chavez of Mexico, who is closely associated with the Delano Grape Strike, initially was inspired by the Filipino agricultural workers, but rarely is it mentioned in the history books now is it? Enrique Iglesias' mother Isabel Presysler, was either Pinay or Half-Pinay/Mestiza, but again goes unmentioned in many of his biographies. When Teri Hatcher makes a little Comment about Filipinos in a TV Show, Pinoy TV Stations are quick to pick it up like it's actually something important. Face-it, Filipinos will always be the "invisible Asians"...sure Manny is giving us some visibility, but should Hatton and a returning Floyd Mayweather Put him away (which his 90% possible)...we will be back to being invisible. To quote John Cena - "You Can't see Me"...

1) Sorry I meant, Malay Stock.

2) Damn Right, any rape from the Colonial Powers is a good thing. Go bind your sons to exile
To serve your captives' need - Rudyard Kipling, White Man's Burden

I should Thank the Spaniards for giving us our unique culture and the United States for giving us Democracy. Although I usually do like Colonialism, I must admit that the US Colonialism has indeed turned Pinoy Culture to a very glitzy glamerous pop trash it is today...

Filipinos take pride in their Roman Catholicism most of all, which is Ok with me. So thank the White Men for this. And Yes, I wished the Rape could have gone that further...

Thank the White Men Pinoys...Mwa ha ha ha. I'll never be gone, I live inside each and every Pinoy Today. They just are too afraid too admit it...

I don't hear any Venezuela pride, or any Colombian Pride...why can't we be like them? But No...we have to invent a whole new word - "Pinoy Pride"...

They just are too afraid too admit it...

magtagalog ka hindot na meksikano. lol.
