It was a dreadful online experience. I wish it was on the 360 :(

PS3 online is so wank it's untrue.

I see nothing wrong with it, i kept getin killed under 30 seconds everytime but.. If it was on 360 i STILL would be getting killed just as fast.

It just wasn't clear what was meant to be happening. I got disconnected a few times as well. Just all feels a bit fragile with PS3 compared to the 360.

The single player is awesome though, don't get me wrong.

I have had no problems online so far. I don't think I have had as much fun playing a fps online, I love Killzone 2 Multi-player.

What game modes do you recommend? I also noticed it was full of computer players which annoyed me. Can you play games with JUST human players?

Anyway,to date,Killzone 2 is my FAVORITE online game,im addicted as ****,if u want the best experience without it being TOO hectic and end quicker then usual,change ur settings,play BODYCOUNT,match size MEDIUM and any rank,this is the most fun and it will get u addicted like it has me,dont just join any game,this is probably why u run into matches with bots,search the list of games being played then join them

And if u ask me,Killzone 2 feels way better on the PS3 then it would 360,it actually has me hooked to the PS and ive not played Gears since

I've had some disconnects too, but nothing major.

Im having alot of fun completing the objectives to unlock stuff.Also it has rolling mission objectives that change up, so maybe thats why you were confused. And personally I love it when it gets hectic.

Dont get me wrong so do i,but i prefer medium,that way the game lasts longer,and u can be more strategic and set up traps

Ok, tried again. Still don't like it. Doesn't have a solid feel to it at all. I'll stick to playing the story mode, and get my online fix from Cod4 :(

A few gripes;

As soon as you spawn you are trapped in somewhere and get killed straight away.

The maps seem poorly designed as well, very congested, doesn't seem like much in the way of specific areas you know will be safe. Also finding it hard to do any flanking. It just feels a bit messy and unpolished in the multiplayer. It's not just me either, I notice that all my team mates get wasted instantly as well.

A further gripe is having to wait on the black and white screen to be revived (which never happens), only to start again from some god-awful spawn point.

What am I missing here??

Well ur playing with inexperienced people,if they was clever they would set up new spawn points aka if ur area is under heavy fire u can choose to go to the spawn point,and u have a special camara to see whos around and who isnt,and if ur team was clever ud have a medic that could revive u,the more u play the more badges u earn,Medick,Engineer etc..u just aint playing with a good team

And Killzone has some of the BEST maps ive ever played on,there absolutely HUGE,theres only like 2 small levels,all the rest are massive,its like your playing a different game to me:p join a game with experienced players,change ur settings,your only playing with your rank

Well you can pick a spawn point usually, if not you should be respawning at your own base where you should at the very least be safe, unless your team is getting pwned hard or something. I recommend playing in a big room, that uses all the objectives. That way as the objectives change the areas were people are concentrated change as well.

I agree with the above, the maps are more on the large side if anything.

The wait times, I played my share of shooters, and I think the respwan times are necessary whenever I play with instant spawn it almost always turns into a stalemate because basically everybody is alive all the time.

Once you unlock the medic and can revive people you gain an appreciation for how it works & how it balances out.

also you could try joining or forming a squad, you can respawn on your squad leader. Or if your the leader your squad can respawn near you.

Maybe your just not very good?

Killzone 2, is IMO even better than COD4's online. I have never been disconnected from the game and it's fairly easy to score kills IMO.

Usually people go in thinking it's like COD4 because the single player was similar. Most people who are good RARELY use the iron/zoom sight, hip fire is much more effective unless your facing an almost stationary target that is far away.

Are you doing skirmish mode or warzone. It sounds like skirmish mode since your playing with computer players, you need to do warzone, play with real people maybe that will change your mind.

Nah, i got it going properly with human players. My previous points still stand. Just think it's a bit wank really. Not too bothered tho cos I have COD4 on the 360, and Killzone 2 has a good single player mode.
