Pacquiao Breaks Toenail, Knocks Down Roach!

Thunderous explosions could be heard inside the Wild Card Gym as Manny Pacquiao, who is considered to be the ultimate Pound For Pound king of this era, was hitting the mitts with the three time Trainer of the Year awardee Freddie Roach. A solid and rapid five hit combination punch blazed through Roach's mitts, sending him off balance. As if a wild animal, Pacquiao continued the barrage with an uppercut combo, catching Roach off guard. The uppercut sent by Pacquiao brushes against Roach's chin, but that was already enough to send the famed trainer down on one knee.
"I told Manny to knock out Hatton within three rounds, and I told him before our mitts session that he should pretend as if I'm Hatton. I guess his concentration was so powerful he really thought I was Hatton! I'll be fine, it's part of working with the boys, it happens." said the recovering Freddie Roach on a stool as this reporter asked him if he was ok after that Pacquiao Uppercut.
"The uppercut only grazed me, but it still sent me down, I guess this should serve as a warning to Hatton not to underestimate Manny's power like the others have." continued Roach.
While Pacquiao was practicing his in-ring movements, it was noticeable that his right foot was sometimes jerking in a strange way. I asked Buboy Fernandez, Pacquiao's long time friend and assistant, about what was wrong with Manny's foot. He relayed to this reporter that Manny suffered a broken toenail during the early morning roadwork due to a rock that got in Manny's way.
