View Full Version : Favorite 4 current NBA Players
neils7147933 11-13-2004, 04:13 PM List your 4 Favorite Current NBA Players - not necessarily the best guys in the league, but the guys you like to watch and like to see succeed.
Brian Cardinal - 4 years in the NBA, 4 different teams. He kept getting signed because of his attitude and hustle - and then stepped up last year in GS when he had a chance and earned a huge contract with Memphis. A classy guy who plays the game the right way and is a tremendous role model. DAMMIT - pic link doesn't work anymore and somebody bumped the thread to page one.EDIT: new pic

Andre Kirilenko - this guy is just straight up talented. If he played in New York, the league would be pushing him as a star.

Lebron James - the future of the league (at least the non-big men) whose only misstep under all the scrutiny and hype was to hang with AI in the Olympics and show up late to a practice. This guy is crazy skilled and fun to watch - a sure-fire superstar.

Reggie Miller - still around, still a great team leader, one of the greatest shooters ever - would love to see him get a ring.

4. Kobe
still a Kobe fan after Katelyn, Shaq, Phil...?
oldgringo 11-13-2004, 04:27 PM 1. Michael Finley - Very underrated IMO. Lead the Mavs for years even while Nowitzki was there and never complained about his role being reduced. Plays very unselfish ball and is an explosive scorer. I love his game.
http://sportsmed.starwave.com/media/nba/2002/0907/photo/a_finley_i.jpg
2. Shawn Marion - I knew this guy was going to be incredible when he played at UNLV. He can jump out of the gym and throw it down with the best of them. He's a 5 category guy who does everything for you.
http://www.bgrg.sulinet.hu/~.d0ckoncf.d0c.bgrg/act_shawn_marion.jpg
3. Ben Wallace - Embodies everything that the NBA should be. He's personable, exciting, he's likeable, he's a team player, and he is a defensive monster. He's the last guy in the NBA that I'd **** with outside of Shaq and he plays for my team the champion Detroit Pistons.

That's it. I only really have three favorites. I guess Shaq Diesel, Kevin Garnett, Stevie Franchise, and Ray Allen tie for fourth.
Big Ben(class guy who is one hard worker and seems to be liked by everyone.
Dirk Nowitzki( Had kind of a slump last year but will snap out of it tis year)
Tim Duncan(another one of the good guys who keeps a constant smile on his face like a happy little kid)
Carlos Boozer(Duke boy who is a hard worker and a better NBA player than people thought he would be) He should have been played more on the olympic team.

I like Phoenix this year. Very talented and scrappy. Nash was a big addition...now Joe Johnson can do what he's supposed to do.

jack_the_rippuh 11-14-2004, 12:13 AM I hate it when a player is good, but no one wants to keep him. For example Jalen Rose. The guy has played 1-3 in his career, and yet he continues to get traded around..

Hey Jose... Houston had to go with Yao.. with all lthe big name power forwards and not forgetting SHAQ on the west coast, houston had to take a center.. besides these kids coming straight out of high school are not always promising.. look at that one kid from Washington who got drafted #1 i beleive in 2001(damn.. i forgot his name).. Gotta admit.. Amare shocked the sh*t out of me last year... hellavu baller but Yao has been consistent... Houstons offense was built around TMac and Steve Francis... Yao had rarely touched the ball but when he did, he made 55% of his shots.. Houston made the right choice... Amare kicks ass tho...
jack_the_rippuh 04-10-2005, 01:37 PM Kwame Brown..

I wasn't calling him great. I was giving the guy who said he forgot his name his name. (Read the post above that one.) Kwame is a disappointment, though.

Sometimes you give bizarre answers...I thought maybe we were going to show love for #1 picks that went bust. I was going to say Pervis Ellison
How 'bout the guy that plays the biggest my man Earl Boykins( Spud and Mugsy who) imagine if this cat had height on his side, scary.... Second gotta go w/ Jesus wears 34 for the Sonics, also like K.G. and King James that Flaker from out west don't even come close.
