Glad to see Rivera back. Gabert is gonna give him one hellova run for his money. If he got sub'd by Lee Murray, he better have been training his ground game since coz I'm sure James will bring it hard. Anyone from Almeida's team should not be taken lightly when it comes to ground fighting and submissions. Thanks for posting, Rockelfan.

My picks are as follows:

Gabert
Sam Hogar
Leopoldo
Marcus Davis
Creduer
Hathaway
Colangelo
Fabio Holanda
Ricardo Deberba
Long
Jerry Mosquea vs Joe Lauzon is gonna be a war. I can't chose who would win this one, but I'm gonna go with Lauzon if I had to choose.

Awesome ****ing card! Can't wait to hear the results!

i'm so excited for this! the author is really hyping that shakir/davis fight too, sounds awesome! i need to type another essay and get it handed in later this morning, then i'm gonna nap and head out :)

looks like none of my friends want to spend the loot and go with me, so i'll go it alone

only problem is that the last train out of lowell is 10:35 ... think 12 fights can fit in under 3 hours? it would really blow to have to leave before the rivera fight

It all depends on how long the intermissions are. The Tsongas Arena is near the train station.

Nuri Shakir is one bad ass dude, has very heavy hands and just faught an incredible close fight with Aaron Riley.

well i got back from the event about an hour ago, thanks to the train schedule i had to leave the arena at 10:15 to catch the last train back to boston and was only able to see the first 6 fights! :( I wasn't pleased at all that the event started an hour late and the ring seemed a bit small ... i guess i have nothing to compare it to since i haven't been to any other events and don't fight myself, but it seemed to be a general consensus in the crowd that the ring was small. the fights (that i got to see) were all great! 2 ref stoppages, 1 KO, 2 decisions, 1 draw. it was well worth $20 and my seat was really close.

i have some pictures (most are crappy because i didn't use a flash) as well as a couple short movies, i'll try to get those all online soon :)

oh and dogg i think it will be because they had two different camera men taping, one at ring side and another at the top of the seating.

Did you see me at all, I was at a table at ringside. The camera kept on showing the back of my head and ear. That sucks that it was an hour late. You missed Jorge Rivera and Sam Hoger

Here are the official results. My full fight report should be posted on sherdog tonight. Hoger looked good and he is the nicest guy you could ever meet. I told him that I saw his posts online and he was elated that people actually read his fight diary. Jorge Rivera dominated the fight and kept it standing the whole time, but Gabert had a strong chin and wouldn't go down, untill the ref finally stopped it in the 3rd round.

Jorge Rivera defeats James Gabert by TKO, RD 3.
Brian Bressler drew with Jason Hathaway.
Renato Migliaccio defeats Rocky Long by decision.
Fabio Leopoldo defeats Brendan Seguin by TKO, RD 1.
Nuri Shakir defeats Marcus Davis by rear naked choke, RD 3.
Sam Hogar defeats Chris Herring by guillotine choke, RD 1.
Matt Lee defeats Mark Colangelo by decision.
Timothy Creduer defeats Lance Everson by armbar, RD 1.
Jay Heiron defeats Fabio Holanda by decision.
Nardu Debrah defeats Ricardo Deborba by TKO, RD 1.
Joe Lauzon defeats Jerry Mosquea by submission, RD 1.
