Torn cartlidge. We are awaiting the offical referral to see the specialist. Hoping we get the same doc that did my son's leg surgery. He comes recommended by daughter's water polo coach as well as knowing our experience with him. He's awesome.
Daughter is frustrated. But otherwise okay.

Did they tell you if you had anything torn, or does the ortho do that?

it always feels kinda helpless when you get hurt. But its best not to rush the healing.

Your son is well on his way LOL
Th funniest thing is, I played hockey for 16 years and I only hurt myself once. In my final game. I got a concussion (only a slight one, I didn't even know it at the time until my next one) after I was sucked punched a the the end of the game or kicked in the head with a skate during the insuing melee.
It was worth it. It lasted at least 15 mins, my face was bloodly, my knuckles bruised and a giant smile on my face
