Can anybody recommend this game?

I've just been reading some reviews and I'm thinking about getting it.

Cool.

Only game I've ever played which I think will be similar to this is Baldurs Gate for the PC.

I hope this is as good as everybody says it is.

Excellent game. It was my first real RPG that I got from a GF who just took the advice of the store clerk when buying it. I gotta say I really really liked it and it turned me on to a new game genre that I was previously skeptical of.

Never finished it, the stuff you can do on the side was more interesting than the main quest, I sunk a lot of hours into it, but eventually I just got bored of it.

Damn, I was just thinking about going and getting this game again. Why I traded it in at Game Stop, I have no clue. One of my all time favorites. I still got the 300+ page strategy guide.

Quick tip. Have 1 save for when your, just about to leave the dungeons, and its your last chance to alter your character type.

It helps you save a lot of time in the future when you inevitably want to create a different character type than the one you first make.

Also hit up the Gladiator Stadium its a nice place to earn experience and get some weapons and learn the basics of how to fight.

The problem with Oblivion is although there's a lot to do, after 5 hours you will have done everything that can be done in the game, after that you're just repeating yourself. And most of the quests consist of "Go here, speak to that person, go there kill that person".

Fable 2's a much better game.
