are boys so damn difficult?? My girls have been easy (somewhat) to raise....

We're redoing my son's room and I'm ready to make a big hole in the wall and hide his body in there. All I want him to do is follow directions....don't take shortcuts. I know he doesn't understand that a house is an investment, but I do expect him to understand what the word NO means. I also expect him to want his room to look good when we're done.

Anyone want to adopt a brat? ;-)

He's doing a car theme. I have racecar fabric for his curtains and the old jeep seats from hubby's jeep will be covered with both Ernhardts' fabric. He has blankets already from the same (except fleeced and from Christmas) We have tons of car posters, Lamborghini's, Mustangs, etc that we got at a garage sale for $1 each, some of them framed. Red walls with white window sills and black baseboards. Black furniture with red trim.

I plan on posting before and after pics when I'm done....if I don't kill him first.....LOL

You normally get good things when you nag!
I went with a safari theme in my room. My walls are a brown color, I've got the fancy bedding, curtains, pictures, the whole nine. I'll dig up some pics. I might have to take some.

Actually, I like girls that nag. It always turns out good for me. Girls are very conscientous and good with money. I make way more than my ex and the girl I'm dating and they both have much nicer things than me.

COOL!! I'd love to see them. I want to eventually redo our bedroom, but that can wait. After this is our stairs (wood) and our family room....already planned out, just need to do it. Have the paint too.

I used to ask hubby to do something and if he didn't do it by the third request, I did it myself. OR at least get started and he'd feel guilty....hehehe....but if it had to do with his power tools, he was out there in a heartbeat!! He was afraid I'd damage them!!! I now wait until he's gone, I usually do a better job without him!

Yeah, I tend to blow my $ on non-essential items, used to be mostly on lap dances, lately it's been very nice pinot noirs and nice dinners. Nice at the time, but I have nothing to show for it. I'm kinda of right now kinda guy.

Well, sometimes that's okay. But saving is a good thing too, or buying quality stuff. It all depends on what you want. Just save for the future, you never know what it'll bring....believe me, I know.....

I don't save. Also, the only quality things I buy are suits, shoes, alcohol, and food. Sometimes I kinda remind myself of Colin Farrels character in Phonebooth, only without the wife.

LOL....the suits and shoes are definitely a good investment considering your line of work....

Just don't invest in good furniture until Toby outgrows the scratching stage....LOL.

My room is great it's has a nice flooring done in dirty clothes that I throw on the ground. I keep my books nice and tidy on the same floor. My computer desk has a collection of pennies and small change that I will never use. The smell of mildew just overpowers you as some as you enter. I keep my windows close and keept the blinds down so no possible light can enter and ruin the mood.
