I'm not hating on snoop, he is a legend.

but he(to my knowledge) hasn't made another classic since doggy style...


thats weird because most great rappers, atleast have one more great album after their first great one...

why do you guys think he wasn't able to remain as great as he was in the mid 90's?

by the way, i understand that hes had great songs since doggy style(but i'm saying), he hasn't had a great album since then......its weird.

i tried to **** with some of his other albums but they weren't even worth downloading to me. He had some real good songs here and there, I always liked this song

snoop's definitley had sick songs on all his albums(like the ones gold mac posted), but i wonder why he wasn't able to make another classic album.......

if you look most legends like jay, ice cube, nas etc. they all had atleast one more classic after their first.....

when you come out of the gate with a illmatic, reasonable doubt, ready to die, or in this case doggy style its hard to live up to the hype.

^^^right there you go from writting songs everyday for like 19 years and using the best to having to come up with something hot within a few months.

That's why most rappers end up putting out bull**** pop songs about dancing , cars & shoes after a few years.

Blue Carpet Treatment, Last Meal, Rhythm and Gangsta all are solid albums.

It's probably because he stopped working with Dre who brings out the best in artists.

To Me Snoop is a somewhat limited artist, what he can do is great but he dosen't have that many tricks, and that effects his longevity.

One of the worst calls I have ever made in my life was the prediction that Snoop wouldn't do well as a solo artist when he left Dre. I thought Snoop was a PERFECT "condiment", but that he wouldn't work that well on his own. Doggystyle proved me wrong from a commercial and an artistic standpoint, but alot of what he has done since sort of bares that original assumption out from an artistic standpoint.

I like Snoop featured on a song, or a snoop single on a disc, not all Snoop all the time

There are a number of artists I like that way...Method Man maybe the next most obvious rapper like that

Snoop fell off because he is rich now, he is not hungry like he was when he was trying to be famous.. He does not have the WILL to put out another great album.. IMO

It seemed like early he wanted to be great. Once he got everything he knew people were dumb enough to buy the same corny **** " a b c dpg d o double g" "1 2 3 lbc dont fuk with me" as long as people buy it he doesn't care he realized he can make ****ty music that young people will buy. i honestly think hes one of the worst mc's right now
