Briggs returns to K-1
Former linear heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs will have his second fight in K-1 when the Japanese sports phenomenon returns to the US later this month.
The 32-year-old New Yorker successfully made his K-1 kickboxing debut two weeks ago, KOing Tom Erikson in Saitama, Japan.
He will now face mixed martial arts veteran Gary Goodridge on the April 30 K-1 card from the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.
Goodridge, who boxed amateur, holds a win over MMA legend Don Frye but will be the underdog at age 38.
