If everytime a champion wins, he is champion until the next title fight. Then he is stripped of champion and has to fight for the title. (Like Pat Miletech is 5 time champion). So howcome the heavyweight title was on the line with Sylvia vs. Arlovski but when Sylvia couldnt fight because of a positive test for steroids, the heavyweight championship belt was not on the line?

Because Syliva didn't test positive for steroids again. He just still had it in his system from the first time.

Also, Cabbage really wasn't in line for a title shot. So it became a 3 round fight. Syliva vs Mir will decide who fights Arlovski for the vacant title.

Mir is going to die btw. I like Frank, but I wouldn't want to be fighting Syliva when he comes back. A mad 6'8 265 man who has a rocket launcer for a right hand is not my idea of fun

Mir would beat syliva. If mir could finally get his cardio up. My big worry in a mir title fight is if mir can make it five rounds.

Ufc needs to get some belt holders, the whole situation is a bit sad.

BJ Penn is the welterweight champion of the world. HE was a lightweight, but he is now the legitimate WW Champ. Hopefully, they are gonna be new HW and LW champs in the next two UFCs.

In the Heavyweight division, having Arlovski demonstrate still further that he's a double-hard bastard before a fight with Sylvia is no bad thing in the end... the best of a bad situation.
