View Full Version : "Chuck Liddell is the toughest guy in the LHW division"
Stain 04-03-2004, 02:05 PM Says Tito...
Tell that to Randy Couture.
Can't wait for my man to come back, dominate Vitor, and take on all comers for his belt.
Randy Couture = #1 LHW in the world.
HockeyFighter 04-03-2004, 03:55 PM Tito's wrong.
And speaking of wrong, people are also wrong for thinking that Tito tried to take Chuck down because of one "shot". It wasn't even a shot. It was a slow, undedicated move that was meant merely to get Chuck thinking. Tito doesn't shot, he clinches. Any true mma fan knows this.
Fallout 04-03-2004, 04:21 PM Yeah, but why didn't Tito try to close the distance? I think the reports were right. Chuck was in Titos head. Tito looked afraid against Chuck. Tito has never looked afraid of anyone before

I was like "THIS ****ER IS SCARED!!!"
Thats this main reason he lost. If he had some confidence, he would have made it to the 3rd atleast
GeNeRaL 04-03-2004, 06:10 PM if randy is #1, someone needs to set up a Randy vs. Silva match :)
vittel 04-04-2004, 02:54 PM randy vs silva??........ I can't see this fight happening, pride didnt keep to their part of the deal which was to send fujita and sakuraba to the ufc after the UFC sent Chuck to pride. Pride and ufc might come to an agreement in the future but by then randy might be retired.
handjobs4dollars 04-04-2004, 04:52 PM When I saw frandio screaming at tito he had a look on his face like he wasn't into it. Chuck smileing was great.
allmmafan21 04-05-2004, 01:25 AM Tito looked like an amatuer against chuck. I thought he was suppose to be one of the top LHW's in the world. I give tito credit for going toe to toe but if thats not your game then why do it. If he fights murray and goes toe to toe with him he will lose to. BUt maybe tito had a bad night and chuck had a great night but i picked the right fighter this time.:)

like I said, I think Chuck is just in Tito's head. He knows how to beat Ortiz. I mean, Chuck threw stright punches against Ortiz. How offen do you EVER see Chuck throw a stright punch
allmmafan21 04-05-2004, 03:24 AM I understand what your are staying but try to be a tuff guy and get knocked out by standing with chuck why not go with what works, which in this case with tito is taking his opposition down and suing ground and pound?
Whoremaster B 04-05-2004, 11:53 AM Looking at Titos face coming down to the ring told you that Chuck already had the upper hand.
Chuck was kind of expecting that outcome. He showed alot of confidence entering the ring.
mmafanman 04-05-2004, 01:29 PM Tito lost before he even entered the ring. He came into the fight with a bad game plan and he was not confident AT ALL. You could see it in his mannerisms during the weigh-in and coming into the ring.
Bluecifer 04-05-2004, 03:08 PM Chuck had Tito's number from the start. Tito has always known that he couldn't beat Chuck. He couldn't take him down in training or in a fight. Chuck's style is Tito's worst nightmare. That is why Tito ducked him for so long, he always knew what would happen if they fought. Obviously so did Chuck, he came after him Tito like he stole something. How often have we seen Chuck smiling and winking at the camera before a fight? Both fighters knew exactly how that was gonna go.

Agreed. I was doubting for a moment that he was going to do his normal 'stomping around the ring' bit..
