Kyle and Sims, Diaz and Lawler, Arlovski and Cabbage, and finally Liddel and Ortiz
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:15 PM Rogan is bringing up some good points, talking about Ortiz and Liddel. They are now talking about the situation with Syliva
Dana White talking about Tim Syliva, saying Zuffa still belives in Syliva and that Zuffa takes some responsibity as they booked the fight too close to the hearing.
Tim Syliva is now talking about the fights, wishing the fighters good luck, but saying he feels sorry for the fighters because he is gonna beat them down when he comes back. He said he is pulling for cabbage as he wants to knock him out next time.
They are now hyping up the other fights
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:17 PM Odds are on the fights are
USA Today
Ortiz Liddel 3:2
Lawler Diaz 5:2
Arlovski Cabbage 2:1
Kyle Sims 3:1
Franca Edwards 3:2
Some SWEET ACTIONS on Diaz and Franca. Take Franca with thoses odds and drop some money on Diaz
House Odds
Ortiz -150
Arlovski -200
Man, the house is giving some nice action on the fights too. At 2:1 I'd drop some money on cabbage (although I don't think he will win, at 2:1 its worth the risk)
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:18 PM Sims and Kyle are up
For the record, I give Sims some credit, taking the fight on one days notice
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:32 PM Here we go, ROUND 1
They come out, and Sims throws a high kick. Kyle shoots in for the take down and Sims stuffs it. They are up against the fence and Kyle has double underhooks. Both fighters are looking for some foot stomps. Sims trying for a gillotine choke, and drops you the bottom. He loses it, but tries for a arm triangle and almost gets it. Sims going for submissions and almost got them. VERY interesting. Kyle in Sims' guard, throwing some weak shots, with Sims still going for the arm triangle choke. Kyle with no respect for Sims guard, as he throws some harder shots from the top. Kyle is stuck in Sims guard. Kyle going for a can opener to try to get Sims to open the guard, but Sims is too tall and nothing happens. Kyle trying to stay busy, but we aren't seeing much. Semi boring round so far. BJM is standing them up with 30 seconds left. Wes Sims is really tierd, and gets caught by Kyle, KYLE ROCKS SIMS, SIMS GOES DOWN WITH 2 SECONDS left. Sims went down from being totaly gassed. Sims had nothing left. I guess thats not surprses.
WHOA, they are saying Kyle bit Sims.
There is a BITE mark on Sims chest. Kyle BIT Sims. Whoa, no one could see it. There IS bite marks on Sims chest. Its no question about it, Kyle DID bite Sims, but we can't see where..........
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:33 PM Look for this to be made a NC, Kyle did bite Sims. There is NO QUESTION about it
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:37 PM They are giving an update on Randy's eye. They are talking about how Randys eye has healed up nicely.

They are now talking about Kimo vs Ken
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:38 PM God, they are now interview Carson Daily. I don't care if he likes the UFC, hell I hate Carson anyway, reguardless of what he says to say. Get back to the fights
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:39 PM and they were listening to me.
Diaz and Lawler up next
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:41 PM They are interview Robbie, talking about how he wants to just fight. They are talking about Nick now, talking about how his stand-up has improved. Nick is now talking how he is going to be watching for Robbies k.o shots, but that Robbie sometimes gest sloppy and people think Robbie is better than he actually is
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:51 PM Tim Syliva gave Robbie a hug on the way to the ring. Wow, Robbie looks pretty ripped.
Here we go, ROUND 1
Diaz leads with a side kick. Diaz is chasing Robbie around the ring, Diaz taunting Robbie. Diaz lands a big over hand right but Lawler throws a combo back. Lawler throws back and Diaz fires some shots of his own back. Diaz is keeping his hands pretty low, surprising. The clinch and Diaz lands a knee. 2 mins in and they have been trading some solid shots. Diaz keeps taughting Lawler. Diaz lands a big shot and Lawler gets mad and comes back. Diaz keeps giving it to Lawler. Diaz pushing the fight standing The clinch against the fence. Diaz landing some shoulder shots against the fence. Diaz keeps playing with Lawler. The are both trading shots, BIG shots. 1 mins left, and the fight hasn't hit the ground yet and Diaz is probably winning the round. Diaz with a combo, and Lawler answers. Diaz has a bloody nose but keeps coming and throws another high kick.
Very close round, I scored it for Diaz but if anyone gives it to Lawler you can't question that. Great round
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:54 PM Round 2
and Diaz takes the centre of the ring again. Both fighters throwing again and Lawler lands a nice stright right. Diaz lands a leg kick and keeps coming. Diaz is pushing the action, but Lawler is countering nicely. Lawler lands a nice body shot but Diaz coems back with a leg kick. Lawler with shot, BUT DIAZ LANDS A BIG SHOT. THE REF STEPS IN! DIAZ HAS KNOCKED OUT ROBBIE LAWLER
Fallout 04-02-2004, 10:58 PM Lawler got up pretty quick and is saying he is ok, but is still wobbly. The fight looked like it was stopped early but I can see why the ref stopped it. Lawlers hands just dropped and fell to the ground like he was dead. I think he was out and woke up when he hit the ground.
I am going to tell everyone right now as someone watching this live. Robbie Lawler was OUT and woke up after he hit the ground.
Diaz is talking about how no one thought he was gonna win by knockout. Diaz came in trying to get Robbie to take him down, but Robbie wouldn't.
Robbie still looks a little shaky. It was a good stoppage, as Lawler just dropped.
Nick Diaz, the new force in the WW divison
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:00 PM They are interviewing Kimo and Shamrock. Talking about UFC 48
Phil Baroni vs Evan Tanner. I want to see that fight badly. UFC 48, Payback. Fitting title
Lee Muarry is gonna be on the card also.
Saturday June 19th
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:04 PM New feature, On the Matt with Mark Laimon.
Interesting, the are discribing some basic submissions.
They are trying to educate people about how the man on the bottom isn't always losing the fight. Discribing the some examples of triangles. See, I think this is how the need to educate people about the ground game. Not introduce celebs who happen to be fans. Good idea, I like it
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:06 PM They are interviewing Robbie Lawler now. Lawler is talking about how he respects Nick and how Diaz came out and fought well. He didn't complain about anything, and just said congrats Diaz, and that he will learn from this, and that he will be back.
Very classy
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:07 PM Cabbage and Arlovski is up next. Doing the usual, hyping up the fight with some past clips of each fighter
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:19 PM Man, Arlovski is the only person I know with a washboard filled in with hair LOL
Here we go, ROUND 1
They come out, and touch up. Feeling out, Arlovski throws a leg kick. Another leg kick, Arlovski is ranging with the jab then jumps in. Cabbage looking to counter, Arlovski is pushing the fight. Cabbage is starting to get mad, almost like he is saying "You think you can hurt me with that?" Arlovski is throwing some leg kicks and then throws two overhand rights. Cabbage slowly stalking Arlovski, Cabbage throws a leg kick and Arlovski lands a nice combo and Cabbage just smiles. Arlovski throws a leg kick overhand right combo and Cabbage wobbles a little bit from the leg kick. Cabbage throws a kick but Arlovski sees it coming a mile away. Arlovski hits Cabbage with hard Combo but Cabbage seems no worse for wear (aside from a small cut on the ear)
Arlovski lands a high kick and Cabbage just comes forward, like he is mad or something. This looks like Cabbage Syliva. Arlovski is throwing his best shots and Cabbage doesn't seem hurt. The leg kick seems to be whats working.
Round 1 for Arlovski. Man Cabbage ate some hard shots, but doesn't seem hurt at all by them. Cabbage is unreal. Thoses shots would of K.Oed anyone else
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:20 PM Round 2 is delayed as they need to dry off the ground around Cabbages corner.
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:23 PM Round 2
Arlovski lands another leg kick and they continuie the feeling out process. Cabbage is looking to check the leg kick now Arklovski is PASTING Cabbage but Cabbage is still standing but falls for some reason and Mario is stopping the fight.
Cabbage's face looks like he was hit by a cheese gradder.
It seems like an early stoppage but it was really just saving Cabbage from more punishment.
Arlovski wins by TKO at 1:15 seconds of the second round
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:25 PM Listening to Anderi talking in english is really funny actually LOL
Arlovski had a booger hanging out of his noise after the fight. Arlovski looked good tonight and Cabbage looked like a punching bag
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:26 PM They are showing a clip of Chuck and Tito warming up. They are showing Shamrock and Kimo promo again

Franca looks like he wants to shoot. Edwards is using his reach advantage very well. Franca goes for a high kick but misses and faisl to pull guard. Franca throwing high kicks, and lands a overland right and takes Edwards down. Hermes lets Edwards up after throwing a few shots, nothing serious. Franca shoots, and then pulls guard. End of round 1
Close round, but I gotta give it to Edwards for his smooth striking and ground defence, although Franca did get two takedowns and did land some good shots of his own.
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:47 PM Round 2
They touch up and Franca takes the middle of the ring. Franca trying another highkick. trying to land a big shot and temp Edwards to shoot. Edwards throws a leg kick but Franca times it perfectly and gets a takedown. Edwards is holding on well, not giving Hermes a chance to pass. Franca passes to half guard, and lands some shots, but nothing hard. Franca passes but Edwards sweeps Franca. in the guard of Franca now, Franca going for a kneebar......Edwards defending well. Edwards throws some nice kicks but Franca throws some wilds shots, shoots and then pulls guard. Half guard of Franca, and Edwards stands up. Franca tries some weird speeding kick ala Genki Sudo. Hermes trying for a sub but Edwards stands up. 20 seconds left and Hermes shoots again. Franca trying for a kneebar and the end of the round.
WOW, thats a close fight. I think its a draw. 10-9 Edwards, 10-9 Franca, 10-10. 29-29 on my score card.
Judges decison is coming up
29-28 Edwards 29-28 Franca 29--28 for......
EDWARDS
Fallout 04-02-2004, 11:57 PM That fight was too close to call, I had it a draw, but you can't argue that call. Edwards got the nod tonight, but thats gotta be tough for Hermes. Two close decison loses.
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:02 AM Tiki vs Lytle is being shown now
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:07 AM round 1, they trade leg kicks and both men look to slug. Lytle throws another leg kick then closes, but Tiki reverses and throws a high kick. Both men back to leg kicks and Lytle throws a 1-2, blcoked by Tiki. Lytle catches a kick by Tiki, takes him down, and almost gets TIki's back but Tiki spins and gets to his feet. Trading kicks again. Lytle lands an overhand right, and Tiki backs up. Tiki jumps back in and Lytle lands some knees in the clinch. Lytle right hand left leg combo. Tiki lands a short right, then a leg kick. Lytle looking crisp on the feet, Tiki looking some some hesitent. Lytle catches a leg and tries to take Tiki down but Tiki escapes and the clinch against the fence. Lyltes side looks pretty red (but Lytle is really pale). Tiki creates some distance and throws a nice left right left combo. Lytle throws some shots of his own. Both men trade leg kicks as the round ends.
Close round, but I give it to Lytle
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:10 AM Round 2
Both men come out and throw some shots. Lytle looks like he wants to bring the fight to the ground as they are even on the feet. Lytle eats a leg kick but lands a overhand right. Tiki throws a nice combo. Both men are slugging, and Lytle catches a kick and takes TIki down.Tiki goes for a triangle, but Lytle gets out of it. Lytle takes Tikis back, and SINKS IN A SIDE CHOKE. TIKI TAPS OUT. Chris Lytle taps out Tiki
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:13 AM Lytle is talking about how Tiki is a tough guy and how he took some good shots. LOL, he thanks Carlos Newton for teaching him the side choke. Lytle says hello to his fight, and says he is sorry all the kids got sick and she had to cancel LOL
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:16 AM ORTIZ vs LIDDEL IS NEXT
MAIN EVENT TIME BABY
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:22 AM The are interviewing Randy now, asking him who they think will win.
Randy says Tito feeds off of hype, and that he has been trying harder not to over train and peak at the right time. He also says Tito has beter cardio than Chuck. Randy says Chuck is harder to hold down, and Tito might not be able to do it. Randy says everytime Chuck stand up it gives him a chance to unload. Randy picks Chuck
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:24 AM God, get to the fight. I don't care who the semi pretty blonde thinks will win
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:28 AM Fernando Vergas is flanking Ortiz as he enters. The crowd seems to be on Ortiz's side. Tito sort of bumps into Chuck as he runs around the ring. Ortiz just threw the punishment hat out of the ring, LOL, and someone just threw it back in
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:31 AM Ortiz is doing the Randleman. The crowd is jacked for this one, this is what we come to see. STARE DOWN!!!!!!

CHUCK LIDDEL KNOCKSOUT TITO ORTIZ!!!!!!!!!
realkaps 04-03-2004, 12:44 AM Kaps cries quietly in the corner..........
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:44 AM Man, Chuck looked AWESOME. He totally dominated Ortiz.......I am at a loss for words.......holy ****
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:46 AM Ortiz said he did what he said he would do. He stood in the middle of the ring and stood with Chuck. He is giving Chuck credit and then praises the growth the sport has made. Tito seems beside himself, I don't think he can understand that he lost this fight. This a harsh loss for Mr Ortiz. Not only did he loses, but he got stopped and stopped HARD
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:48 AM They are now showing Sudos fight
handjobs4dollars 04-03-2004, 12:50 AM wow good for zuffa
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:52 AM Genki Sudo has on a gold robe and some sort of weird mask. Sudo doing it a gain, great enterance
lightweight 04-03-2004, 12:52 AM Tito's gonna have a rockin after party!!
My favorite moment was the fan throwing tito's hat back in the ring. That made my heart smile. What a happy ending.
handjobs4dollars 04-03-2004, 12:55 AM I had a feeling chuck was going to kick some ass.
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:58 AM They touch up and Genki Sudo comes out in his "normal" style, with a weird kung-fu stance. Brown seems unimpressed and shoots in. The clinch and Sudo lands a right hand. Both men have one underhook and both men land some knees. Sudo takes Brown down, goes for the back but Brown gets to his feet and slams Sudo down. Sudo goes for a triangle, switches to Oma Plata, but Brown gets out. Brown throw some nice shots from the top. Sudo going for lots of submissions, Brown defending well. Brown, in the guard of Sudo, actiong slowing. Sudo going for a triangle......Sudo switching arm bar...and Brown taps.
Genki Sudo by armbar, round 1
handjobs4dollars 04-03-2004, 12:59 AM Genki wins by armbar in the triangle.
Fallout 04-03-2004, 12:59 AM Sudo holds up a sign with all the worlds flags that says "We are one"
Fallout 04-03-2004, 01:00 AM For the record, I hope Mike Brown gets another shot. We didn't get to see much, but I was impressed with what I saw
realkaps 04-03-2004, 01:00 AM Chuck aint going no where though, he has no where to go, Couture will stomp him again and that is gonna leave the UFC LHW devision kinda weak unless they bring in new talent.........
handjobs4dollars 04-03-2004, 01:01 AM Hermes was robbed again by the ufc.
Bluecifer 04-03-2004, 01:01 AM I'm still dancing.....Yeah...Yeah.... Yeah!!!!!!!!! BEST MMA NIGHT EVA!!!!! I"VE BEEN WRONG ALL THIS TIME!!!! There IS a God and he is GOOD!!!!111

No, he wasn't. That fight was closer than the Thomson Franca fight. Honestly, that fight was so close, you can't say anyone was robbed. It was TOO CLOSE
realkaps 04-03-2004, 01:04 AM LMAO!
Bluecifer 04-03-2004, 01:05 AM CHuck was ****in' PISSED tonight!!!!
handjobs4dollars 04-03-2004, 01:06 AM Those high kicks were hurting. Plus it's based on standing and grappling. Did you see edwards doing anything on the ground? All I saw was striking. Hermes did both.

Hermes was throwing shots on the feet, but really....how many of them landed? Edwards stuffed a lot of Francas takedowns, and forced him to pull guard. He also defended well on the ground and was never in any real danger on the feet. However, he never came close to finishing Franca ethier, as Hermes was always coming forward.
That fight was a draw, but it was too close to say he was robbed. Being robbed is a B.S decison. Ricco was robbed, Mezger was robbed against Arona....not this fight. It was too close to say that

Squezze 04-03-2004, 01:19 AM I love it. I love it. I ****ing love it. I damn near had an orgasm when Ortiz got knocked the **** out. It was great.
And no way can anybody say that Franca was robbed. The fight was WAY close. Maybe one of the closest fights I've ever seen. Someone had to lose, and it ended up being Franca. Tough loss for Franca, but you can't really say that he was robbed.
Bluecifer 04-03-2004, 01:20 AM Hermes was pressing the the action Creed, Edwards was just defending. Hermes clearly won you ****ing idiot.

Dude, I thought it was a draw. It was too close to say Hermes got screwed. Franca won the second round, Edwards the first the action was too close in the third round. Yeah, Franca pressed the action, but he didn't do anything with it. You only get points for being aggersive if you do something with it. Shooting and then pull guard doesn't get you points. In fact, the other guy just stuffed one of your takedowns and made you take the inferior position
realkaps 04-03-2004, 01:24 AM That is all Yves did was defend, barely any offence from him at all...
Fallout 04-03-2004, 01:25 AM And for the record, if I HAD to pick someone (gun to my head situation) I would honestly pick Edwards.
handjobs4dollars 04-03-2004, 01:25 AM Because he aleast attemp some subs on the ground. Scoring is for striking, grappling and octagon control. Hermes took edwards down, beat him on the ground and the striking was pretty even. Hermes wins. Only the first round was close if you ask me.
I think intelligent fans such as ourselves should just call that a draw. Neither did enough to win. Hermes had takedowns but Yves got up with relative ease every time.
Squezze 04-03-2004, 01:27 AM How anybody who watched the fight can say that anybody got robbed is beyond me. That fight was damn close, nobody dominated any one round, so a draw was impossible. So somebody had to lose. Saying "such and such only did this" is retarded.

Fact: Couture is old. He's an awesome fighter, but he's getting old. Father time catches everybody eventually. He's not superhuman. To say that Couture will be dominating all these top fighters for months and years to come is pretty unlikely.
handjobs4dollars 04-03-2004, 01:30 AM I think you guys know I'm not a big att fan but I still think franca won.
Curly Howard 04-03-2004, 01:31 AM I think the first round is what did it for Yves...That and having another light weight title/contender bout end in a draw would have killed us

Curly Howard 04-03-2004, 01:49 AM It would still be cool to go to "sudden death" in an MMA match
handjobs4dollars 04-03-2004, 02:01 AM If Arlovski asked me to have his babies. I would.
Bluecifer 04-05-2004, 05:41 PM First of all, I may have been slightly enebriated watching UFC 47, but still, even though Edwards got up everytime, that is a purely defensive manuever. Yves never even tried to mount an offense while Hermes did. He was more aggresive and he took all the chances while all Yves did was defend against Hermes offense. They're both good fighters, but it seems clear to me that Franca should have been declared the winner.
