I think he is doing the drunken phone call merry go round thing. I have done that myself a couple times.

He caught me in the middle of the hockey game. Its hard to focus on the phone when your team is playing

people dont call me anymor ethese days including my real life friends. they realized what they were getting thsemlves into. sometimes brian calls me about 6pm to tell me he's getting off work but after talkin to me long enough and putting up with my 2 minutes of not saying anything the phone calls tarted to thin out
