I started hitting the bag 2 weeks ago. On the first day I didnt wear any wraps and on each of my knuckles I have a smash gash. Everytime I use the bag the cuts re-open and get worse.
Is there anyway to help the cuts heal quicker without stopping bag training?

try taping adhesive/athletic tape directly on the skin of your knuckles first.
then use handwraps, making layers on the knuckles. (the ribbon method).

well, i hope u learned ur lesson...always wrap ur hands. i'd suggest slowing down ur training and letting the cuts heal properly, it shouldn't take too long then u can train normally again. takin the time now will save u a lot of hassle later on. u can use the time to improve ur conditioning?

If you hate wrappin your hands then you could just wear some of them small winter gloves..Its like your still hitting with your bare fists but no gashing your knuckles..

What's better to use, hand wraps or bag gloves?

Thx for the help guys
Even if you dont stop training eventually your body will realise it needs to speed up the healing process itself, but this usually results in a scar instead of the cut disapearring altogether.
Thats happened to me a couple of times.

Dude!
You should ALWAYS wrap your hands properly for training. Punching bags with no protection is INSAINE! You will almost certainly suffer after a while.
Here's a quick video I made with a 3 time British Welterweight Champion showing how he wraps his hands for the gym. It's a must to learn this and really feels like you've got more power when you punch too!
