King of the Cage has just signed with iNDemand to distribute their quarterly pay-per-view broadcasts. Combined with KOTC’s existing distribution through Dish Network, DirecTV, TVN, and Bell Express VU this will increase saturation from a current estimated 60% of US households to an estimated 100%.

To put this in perspective KOTC will have all the outlets that Pride do, plus Bell Express VU. UFC air on all those plus Echostar and Viewers Choice Canada. TKO is distributed on RDS, TSN, Bell Express, Viewer’s Choice Canada, and Canal Indigo. This puts KOTC in second place in the US/North American market as far as most outlets and if reports unconfirmed with experts are accurate put them on equal footing with the UFC to compete for viewers. UFC and KOTC still have a leg up on Pride in the US market with retail video distribution while UFC still stands alone as far as broadcast in public locations like sports bars.

The next KOTC pay-per-view is scheduled to be June 12th at Saboboa Casino in San Jacinto, CA. Currently on the card is John Alessio defending his Welterweight belt against Jorge Santiago plus Joe Stevenson defending his belt. Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett is also set to fight.

I thought Stevenson said he was taking off for a while?
