Because hes not very impressive and people are acting like hes doing some out of this world **** on the mic.
I've seen so much hype about him and Charles Hamilton, Wale, etc.

i somewhat agree
i mean i have no set expectations for any of those artists and i am completely open to them dropping some fire, but i am by no means excited or in anticipation. they have not impressed me with wordplay thus far. they definitely have some catchy material but i find that Wale and Cudi kind of talk sometimes rather than rap, and that, to me, is not hip hop. it's very lazy. i feel like it started with Kanye, that kind of lazy type "rap" where there is really nothing impressive going on in the flow department, just kind of a clever line here or there that keeps people considering it hip hop.
