HockeyFighter 03-13-2004, 10:01 PM I think William the Confessors' introduction of the feudal system was the real downfall of the Japanese as an industrial empire. Of course the Duke of Buckingham and Thomas Crammer's effects can't be overlooked. The Golden Bear 03-13-2004, 10:04 PM Oh yes. The Duke of Buckingham and his Mercantilist policy have profound impacts on the japnese countryside. Excelent point Hockey. But what about the role of Gengis Khan? HockeyFighter 03-13-2004, 10:12 PM Gengis Khan was a fraud. He was a scapegoat along with all the other mongolian rulers like Atilla. What the historians don't want you to know is that the real cause of the downfall of the great eastern and western empires was infact the New Zealanders. They landed in Hong Kong in 1432 and spead across the continent from there, wiping out everything that came in their path. Then the quietly packed up and left and to this day they remain dormant but ready to strike at any time. The Golden Bear 03-13-2004, 10:15 PM Those sneaky Kiwis... HockeyFighter 03-13-2004, 10:17 PM Kiwi is actually derived from a turkish term meaning "plague of destruction" and similarily from the saudi word kiwas meaning "pilar of doom". The Golden Bear 03-13-2004, 10:26 PM lets not confuse the saudi word kiwas with the hindu word kiwans wich means "pillar of love." HockeyFighter 03-13-2004, 10:35 PM Quite right. It's a common mistake to confuse the words. So often are the words for love and hate very similar among languages and throughout the course of time they become interchanged until all original meaning is lost. Perhaps we should just start following the Budist belief that love and hate are indeed the same thing and both bad since their idea of heaven is to be emotionless in non-existance. The Golden Bear 03-13-2004, 10:46 PM Yeah, but we all know Budda - who was an indian prince buy the name if Mahatma - was a druggie who ate his own ****. HockeyFighter 03-13-2004, 10:56 PM I'd like to hear your opinion on the Persian invasion of Ireland in 400BC. The Golden Bear 03-13-2004, 11:11 PM Well, you see Xerxes, the king of Persia, was doomed t fail. He was fighting the greeks in Greece, Chaka Zulu in africa and then he decided to invade Ireland. Sutipid idea. The Irish and thier knights made quick work of the Perisan Immortals. The Persians landed, and then were beat at the battle of Alba Long. The Persians got back into their longships and went home back to the capital city of Sardis. But hey the Persians won the Persian war with the Greeks. So good job there. HockeyFighter 03-13-2004, 11:32 PM If the Egyptians wouldn't have tried to cross the Aral Sea to get to attack Greece the Northumbrians in Greece would have been able to depend against that Persian invasion. With the Spartas drawn off the fight the Egyptians they had no chance. I wonder what else Aristole would have though up if he wasn't killed in battle during that war. Would have been cool to see Constantine get involved in that mess. He could have emerged the true leader of the Holy Roman Empire with a decisive victory.
