Terry A 03-01-2009, 03:54 PM Besides the ones mentioned, when I think of "left hook", I always remember the one Gerry Cooney hit Ron Lyle with in the body. It looked like it went into Lyle so deep that all the laces disappeared as well. It looked like the whole glove went in Lyle up to Cooney's wrist! And not Lyle's stomache, his RIBS! That was a shot that I'll always remember. Real impressive work. them_apples 03-01-2009, 04:06 PM Quarry had a mean left hook, Trinidad also Bob Foster Robinson Zarate Unknown Champ 03-01-2009, 04:27 PM Floyd Mayweather Jr. has one of the best check left hooks ever, and it is scary quick and accurate and has put dudes down. That was a shot that I'll always remember. Real impressive work. Yeah. Cooney's left hook was awesome. Wasn't he a lefty turned southpaw? Anyway that hook produced one of the most frightening knock-outs I've seen when Ken Norton was viciously butchered. That fight was stopped a couple of punches to late for my liking: Also Bob Foster had a great hook as mentioned by some. Likely the best hook at LHW. In my earlier post I mentioned Razor Ruddock. Here's some footage of his famous SMASH: F l i c k e r 03-03-2009, 03:07 PM ^^^ I love the Smash. I always use it, I dont even use uppercuts because of it. I rather throw the smash than an uppercut. I like B-hop's left hook. I dont know if I would call it the best ever but if it lands on the body than so long to you. MarkScott 03-07-2009, 09:45 PM Frazier, considering his entire arsenal consisted of left hooks. Can't overlook Sugar Ray Robinson's hook. -Antonio- 03-11-2009, 02:15 AM Ezzard Charles. The_Bringer 03-11-2009, 02:40 AM Joe Frazier had the best left hook I've ever seen.
