This is going to be a thread for very opinionated people. But what the heck, that's what forums are for right? So I'm just gonna go straight to my choice: I'm sure though that at least some of you will consider Thrilla in Manila: Ali vs Frazier III as the greatest boxing match in history ;) No? So what's your choice :)

Hard to pick 1 fight. Ali/Frazier 1, Ali/Frazier 3, Louis/Conn 1, Leonard/Hearns 1, Gatti/Ward 1, Duran/Leonard 1......

I would go for Barrera-Morales 1 and Ali-Frazier1
Hagler-Hearns was really cool but lacked a true developement in terms of tactics.

I would not necessarily say it was the best, but in my opinion the most famous fight of all time was the Rumble in the Jungle.

Ali-Frazier (I, II, III), Leonard-Hearns (I, II), Gatti-Ward, Morales-Barrera.

I watched the entire MAB-Morales 1 for the 2nd time last night, and I then realized it really was one of the best fights ever. Especially round 5. You thought Morales was on his way to knocking out MAB, and then MAB comes back with a flurry of his own, and the next second you see them both exchanging power punches at the same time 'til the bell stops them ! Amazing boxing match. Definitely one of the best.
