nance 03-11-2004, 12:51 AM Hey, I need some help with an idea.
Made curtains for my son's room and want to hang them up using something along the line of car parts. What could I use for the support posts to hold up the rods? Something that could be cut in half? be simple to hang on the wall and will still support the rod, curtains and it just being in a boy's room? Any ideas? Hopefully will have his room finished by the end of the first week in April (our spring break) Racecar is the theme, obviously!

Cool! I may not be on until Sunday though. Big music festival at the high school this weekend starting today...and I'm now a board member (bleh!) and have to be there......*sigh* the things I do for my kids......

nance 03-16-2004, 01:38 PM Hi. Any ideas yet? I really need the help. I've had a few, but they are all too heavy or difficult to mount on the wall.......spring break is coming up fast......(that's when I'm redoing his room).........too fast.
Curly Howard 03-17-2004, 04:58 AM I can't really think of anything that would work. The only thing I came up with is connecting rods but that would be a little expensive. could you paint regular curtain rods and stuff with flames or something? use stickers?
Fallout 03-17-2004, 12:07 PM brake cables?
Take them from your neighbours car
handjobs4dollars 03-17-2004, 01:06 PM or you could take a chain and use that.
nance 03-17-2004, 08:05 PM I'm looking for something to hold up the curtain rods. I can use just about anything for the rods themselves, I am needing a way to hold the rods up. supports. usually you just screw in a support bracket that comes with the curtain rods, but I want something more decorative.....like wheels or something, but those are too heavy......or essentially, something to cover up the brackets.
