No joke here.... ended up in the hospital last night.
I had a hypoglycemic attack at work, about 20 minutes before I got off. My head started gettin all fuzzy, and I started to break a little bit of a sweat... I felt it comin on, but I didn't think anything of it... like I usually don't.
I had my big ol gallon-size waterbottle in my lap, kinda resting it there while I sipped on it. I drop my pen and go to pick it up... and the headrush sends me forward, face first into the floor, KOed by myself, drenched. Next thing I know, I'm gettin helped up by passerby supervisor, who's now concerned that I've just had some kind of stroke.
I get back to composure, and continue to do work... still feelin kinda ****ty, but competent and coherent all the same. Little did I know they'd called the hospital to have them gurney me out of here and take me on one of those ambulance rides I've always wanted. Doctors checked my blood sugar, said it was okay, and immediately thought what I'd experienced must be neurological... this was slightly brash, I thought, at least for a first opinion, so I'll be going into the doctor on Sunday (my one day off this week) to get a second opinion. I suppose it could be much, much worse.
My friend Ivan grabbed my phone, called my sister, and notified her of enough to get her ****tin bricks... but she's alright now, and I love her very very much. Everyone was all worried about me and stuff.... **** man, I gotta not do that anymore.
