I was just wondering if you win like golden gloves or are a really good amature do you ever get like prizes?

Like let's say
if you won a tournament do you get any cash or gift certificates or maybe even limited edition boxing gear. is

or if you were a really good amateur boxer would people sponsor you and maybe even be able to get a free membership to gyms.

It's just I go to school and work and box but if I went to work I couldn't attend any fights so I gave up work. Now i have no extra money and my parents are pretty poor themselves in fact they're steaming that I gave up a job for something useless as boxing to get my head broken. They will not pay anything for me. With my last paycheck I bought a year pass for my gym.

any of you amateurs ever get stuff and if you did tell me what you did to get it?

Uhh.. you might get trophies, awards, and Golden Gloves comes with a special jacket and such. The whole point of boxing in the amateurs is.. you don't get paid to do it. That's why it's the amateurs. If you want to get paid, ANYONE can become a pro, and you CAN make some money. Possibly a couple hundred a fight, but NOT enough to support yourself. (Assuming you aren't anything special, no offense)

Gotta do what you gotta do, dude.. and if you are really, really determined to box and show your coaches that you are special, I really doubt they will make you pay in full if you are having money problems.
